There so much I want to say about this book. This story was timeless kept me smiling with love happiness and a joy of loving passion. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful heart warming story. Every bit a FIVE STAR + {This book is worthy of a movie}
I also purchased this in ebook format, but I needed to do a lot around the house, so I listened to it. I loved your narrator! She does all the voices so well! All were delightful stories! Thank you for sharing!!
Loving An Heir to Spare. So delightful but I did smile when there was no mention of a bag with the extras that every mother has always needed when venturing out with their baby , notably the nappies & spare clothes & bibs when Charlotte took Emily to face the crooked Mr Grant. 😂
I really enjoyed this one. Kim Bretton narrates so much better than Sarah Zimmermna who did the earlier collection and mispronounced a lot of words. The only problem with the last story was that a peer must have been missing for at least 7 years before he could have been declared dead and the title would have gone to the next man in line. So that whole legal business with the cousin would not really have happened. I know this is fiction, but still the facts should be accurate in my view
Upon the Dubious Art of Destructing Admirable Efforts and Successfully Repelling Even the Most Loyal of Viewers: Interrupt with ads literally every 2 minutes! Ideally in mid-sentence. Alas, neither tale nor language nor narrator are compelling enough to engage the staunch believer of rewarding the author's efforts, by allowing the ads to run, for more than one hour. But maybe you don't care😢.
Oh, sorry, I don't have control over the number of TH-cam ads--that's from TH-cam, not me. I looked it up, and it's average for an ad to play every 7-8 minutes. I don't know if there are exceptions or not. But I started listening to this last night and got about 15 minutes in and still didn't have any ads interruptions, then I ran out of time to monitor it. I know there are ads right at the beginning, but I haven't tracked when they pop up during the audiobook.
Hi Heather, the amount of ads differ according to the viewer's viewing history and location (I'm in Europe). Actually, I did time the intervals, too: 29 ad breaks by 01:01h comes up to an average of 1 ad break every 2 minutes. There were 4-minute ad-free intervals. And also 1-minute intervals. As a journalist, I do believe in paying for content. But when the viewing or listening pleasure is mangled because of penetrating advertisement, I feel aggravated and normally just give up. My reaction to your upload was a first. You know, you yourself can define when and which ads are shown. Set timestamps at the end of chapters and allow one ad. Of course, don't go overboard and hack up your novel into 30+ mini-chapters just to fit in even more ads. You probably set automatic mid-roll ad placements. This video explains how to go about setting the timestamps manually : th-cam.com/video/8Vbm0b26kng/w-d-xo.html. Hope this helps.@@heatherbmoore
Ok I’ll see what I can do. I knew that ads can be timestamped but I didn’t know I could select the number of ads. I thought they had to be either completely on or off. Thanks for the info!
@@SallyLong-zh4bc I went in and saw that TH-cam had stacked all the ads in the first hour. So I deleted about 2/3 of the ads, and then spread out the rest. Then I did the same for all the other audio books. I hope that creates a better listening experience. Thanks for the extra info.
Oh sorry. Kim is actually originally from England, so her accent is authentic, and I’ve used her for several audiobooks set in the UK. But not everyone likes certain voices. Hope you enjoy the book if you check it out ❤
I'm very grateful for these widow stories. While I'm not a widow myself, I'm mourning the death of a friend and these stories bring me comfort.
Sorry for your loss.
The narrator did a great job of changing voice for the different characters. And the stories themselves were very good. Thanks for the entertainment!

@@heatherbmoore Hi Heather, great! Listened to it a few days ago, the difference is like night & day. Thanks! 👍
Is this very sexually explicit?
Not at all! 👍🏻 Very clean and so fun!!
Nothing explicit
Not crazy about the first story. Too sickly sweet, had to skip.
Story 2 was good. Lilian had lots of character.
Busy with 3.
Thanks for listening!
So sorry, but the narrator's voice sounds too artificial to me. I'll bet the novel is great, though.
