Nooooo....!!!!! This has been a great series. My first vehicle was a 1966 Datsun 520 but with the single headlights... the model just before this one. I hope you can find a solution. That engine is just to pretty and nicely put together to get junked. Thanks for the videos
Love your videos man. You’re so real and genuine and not afraid to try something you haven’t done before and put it out there. I got so excited when she was running! Then… the crack 😢
I'm broken hearted. All that hard work.....At any rate, looking forward to much more that yiur going to do with this truck. Hopefully we all will get to see much more.
I watch a fair number of you DIY guys on utube You are unique for me in that you improvise with just about all you do which is why I watch first Your down home personality is a major plus for this Ohio guy Just fun
Benny, that crack can be welded. I've brazed cracks back in the 60's and 70's but you can stick weld them with nickell rod, too. Area to be weldeded needs to be pre heated. I've never done the stick weld process but I hear it works well. Dave
Nice keep it coming motivation I'm going out to my tent that I call a shop today to mess around with some stuff happy it's up an running now ready to see it on the road 😂😂 👍
I'm so happy that the radiator modification worked out. It's a bummer about the cracked block. Can you braise cast iron and would it hold if it's under pressure? I appreciate you powering through. I've been defeated by a failed rebuild and priming of a 78 GS1000 front master cylinder lol

It's not over yet. I'm pretty sure it can be saved, stay tuned I have a few options to consider.

I have nickel welded cast before and it's quite a process, but I think there might be a better solution. Stay tuned good to hear from you !!
That’s a downer for sure. All that work. I feel your pain man.
Thanks, it happens, could have been much worse.
Thanks for sharing your process. This video might save someone some time. Good content
I learned two new words today. Magnaflux & Benny

@@kentuckyyankee 👀 I will.
Hey Benny, that sucks but it's better to have the crack on the outside of the block than inside!
My thoughts exactly coulda been much worse

Dude!
Great build.
Gonna JB weld it?
Bin it?
Thanks! I'm deciding what option to take.
That’s some nice welding on that radiator!
What is the welding technique you used called?
I call it "dumb luck" 😂😂 I honestly was lucky that it worked out as good as it did I need more practice to become consistent and better.
@@kentuckyyankee Well your dumb luck is working hell of a lot better than my dumb luck, turned my welder into a plasma cutter instead 😂😂😂
@@99domini99 😂😂 Keep at it you'll get it!
