Azores

In the spring of 2022 we visited the islands Sao Miguel and Flores of the Azores archipelago. Truly one of the most beautiful places on this planet. The green island of Sao Miguel consist of multiple crater lakes colored in many different shades of blue en green. With the vulcanic acitivity beautiful hotspring arrise in which you can utterly relax after a long hike. Flores island is considered the most western part of Europe. Technically it is already on the North American tectonic plate but still considered part of European continent. I would have never thought Europe ends with staggering cliffs and towering waterfalls amidst lush green forests.
