quick tips about inventory management. This game makes it very easy to deposit items. Just hit the N button near your storage and it will automatically stack any matching items into containers. Also crafting on your person or through stations pulls from any nearby storage.
what I discovered in my playthrough with friends this week is arrows are auto-picked up by walking over them. no need to e each one (I was tanking lady bug and our archers' arrows all ended up in my inv lol). oh and if you didn't notice crafting can pull from local storage (shows you how many local storages there are on the right). ohx2.. your normal axe can cut dandelions for the weed logs.
A small tip to make your gathering of building materials easier, make the log and stem pallets. You can move them with you, dump what you cut on them, then move them to where you need them, that way you can cart about more than 5 planks/stems at a time.

Hey Glock how's it doing? Been loving your content for years so just thought I'd give you some advice, if you time your block just right before an insect hits you, then you won't take any block damage, and your blocking bar won't fill as much so you don't get stunned either.
You REALLY need to work on your blocking and, to a more important extent, your perfect blocks. The Orb Weavers are a great way to practice. They have four attack patterns: a web shot, a jump attack, a single attack and the triple attacks. To perfect block you need to block just as they attack. If you see the "sparks" that is a perfect block. You take no damage on a perfect block. The way you're "blocking" simply by having the weapons in defense mode isn't really a block as you also take damage to both your health and stamina. Practice this on many of the creatures and it'll come easy down the road.
No weapon duration loss from perfect blocking either. And there's a mutation you earn from perfect blocking... Equip it to get some stamina back on each perfect block. Those red mites are perfect for practicing and unlocking the mutation.

At 7:30 I'll give you a pro-tip: if you party a single enemy in a horde, the entire front group will recoil, even if the bug wasn't attacking. It really helps slow down large groups and let's you get a hit or two in between big attacks 🤙🏾
Blocking at the right time will give you a PERFECT block. Doing this you won’t take any damage. Also you don’t need the insect ax for weed stems. Dandelions only require a level 1 ax :) it’s the Husky Weeds you need the insect ax for. Keep up the great content!
Tbh I enjoy those brief periods of you building a base in 2-3x. Going all the way back to the first nightmare series. It’s kind of satisfying in a weird way

Started this like 4 times since 1.0, 3 of them had wolf spiders walking the trail between start, the resource analyser station and the mysterious machine at night. . . Kinda terrifying having a pebblet spear and and being in the station with a wolf spider aggroed outside before it wiggled itself in. . . Sad sad outcome for that poor shrunken teenager. . .
My base is on the baseball and I get the spiders too, going in the same loop as you but with the baseball added in. Once I was on the landing outside my door and the spider stood on the bank across from me hissing at me. The spiders didn't show up the first few days, but now they alternate with ladybugs.
Loving this game. Quick tip. You don't have to manually collect arrows from the ground. You can just walk over them. I've also realised how much acorn armour makes you look like Groot. :)
You can block right before you would take damage and it'll parry instead, it won't do any damage to you (or even poison you from wolf spiders and orb weaver Jr's) and you can cut the dandelion by the machine down and get weedstems and tufts which you can use to jump from high places and use before you fall to death.

Hey Glock! I would definitely watch a time lapse-y video of your “busy work.” It would be nice to see you design, gather and build your base in a short video! I understand why you think it could potentially bore viewers, but I think it could be good content! Although you *are* releasing videos for at least 3 different games at the moment so I imagine your plate is very full. Do you do all of your editing yourself? Your vid’s are great! I’ll keep watching as long as you keep uploading ❤
By the way, glock you need to leave the stem of the grass after you chop the grass to alow it to regrow to use again chopping the stem clears an area that you can build so just remember that grass regrows when you leave the stem
glock you can use the take a picture mode to add the insect to your journal and then use your journal to track down those insects, they get marked on the map. also you unlocked bug humiliater which is a passive skill you can choose which gives you a small boost. also if u ever decide to rock a one handed weapon make sure to craft a shield!
For the first time in my life I'm enjoying the sight of insects. G9 pest control on the job - entertaining and reliable. Will make sure to give you a great Yelp review.
Cool series to watch, along with Conan's. That Orb Weaver fight was interesting, tho I'm sure others have said this already, please Parry! Last moment block lets you parry = aka negate 100% of the dmg. There are also ways to get weed stems, even with a pebblet axe. Looking forward to this series as well.
Probably information too late but I built my entire base on top of the rock next to where you are building. Straight up several floors. So far food has been safe and also base has been safe from insect raids. No damage to the base. Lots of resources near by. Also built it high enough to setup zip lines to the rest of the yard. Apparently no weight physics like in 7 Days to Die.
Do remember to peep creature Also smoothies are great healing items, and pretty easy to make The dandelions and yellow flowers can be chpped by a tier 1 axe for weed stems
make sure you get a dandelion to put on your character slot so you don't take fall damage press f to use it manually or it sometimes does it self when you fall. Lady bugs are mainly hanging out by burgle near the juice box.
I would recommend working on perfect blocks. Block just before the attack hits to parry it. Also you can craft from storage, as long as it’s close enough to what you’re working on.
BTW, if you block right as you get hit by an attack you're gonna do a parry. When you parry you take no damage and it builds up the stun bar on the insect. But great video!
It's good to see someone proficient play this... i can't play or watch this game, especially before bed lol! Here I am playing all these horror games, but the spiders in this game give me nightmares LOL! I don't like dreaming about spiders, worst nightmares ever!
couple of things. one if you want easy nat fuzz earl on there are loads of them in the eastern wetlands, only thing you have yo worry about is a few stink bugs that spawn on the way. second i don't think you need to pick up arrows one by one by hand yo can just walk over them and you hover them up. handy in a fight.
I killed a wolf spider b4 I killed a lady bug. Those things 1 shot you so fast. Also using peek on the insects and other bugs, you can see their weakness and resistances.
If you ever need a lot of gnat fuzz the light at the tree has a shit ton at night there are also a couple granola bars in research stations and weevil and black ant shield block all incoming damage and for cracked rocks you’ll need bratbursts which you need red ant eggs for which are pretty easy to get in the red ant hill

Like in the first one near the baseball, there are a couple of Granola Bars, and in the one after the you killed the Weaver, just look Under the computer (not to give it away) There's a lot of stuff you're "missing"
I wanna see your build video. Build a mega base or a tiny one, or a hanging canopy at the old oak tree. Not when everything is done. I wanna see the actual construction.. please.. tq. Also loved that you got head from a ladybug after a hard day searching 🤣
Be careful with having a base so low to the ground. Wolf spiders now randomly patrol at night and can go in that area you setup near the mystery machine.
I been waiting for this episode! You got me hooked on this game. Just wait until you explore the upper backyard and encounter a black widow, or the praying mantis boss.
Such a great game, good choice on making this a series. Just wish it was more than one day a week! haha Much love Glock. I definitely recommend increasing the FOV or playing in 3rd person, that's just me though.

also scan the head before using it. i believe it unlocks the insect hammer.

Crafting a shield is useful. It can be used to defend against the bombardier beetle shots.

I enjoy the underwater voice more than I should
You can perfect block. If you block at the last second, the enemy will deal no damage and it won't take durability off your armour.
Am liking this series, btw you can get weed stems with the pebble axe off dandelions.
When using crafting stations as long as the chest is close enough you don't need the items on you

Glock i don't know if you know this but your pebble axe will cut Dandelions which give you weed stems the insect axe is for the tougher weeds.
You can chop down the dandelions stems with a regular ax to get weed stems
*Helpful hint: weed stems can be collected from dandelions. I don’t think you need a special axe for that.*

Great episode! I wasn't familiar with Grounded before this series, and wasn't sure if I'd like it, but it's growing on me.
If you look around the oak lab tree you should find some spider sacs that has random items in it, just be ready to fight baby spiders to get them
