This team seems to really fit well together and they believe in each other and their ultimate goal. It has been such a thrill ride this year already watching them perform!! Go Niners!!

    I agree. The way he's playing right now, Brock Purdy is the NFL MVP. His anticipation is the best in the league, and his leadership is MVP-level.
    Other "more talented" quarterbacks haven't achieved what he has in Shanahan's system. With Garoppolo, the 49ers were always teetering on the brink of disaster.

    He’s the type of guy that would be sitting at his desk with his homework done and his pencil sharpened 5 minutes before class starts.
    He’s the type of dude that is the starting QB but doesn’t mention it once and you try to recruit him to play on your club rugby team because he looks athletic.

    Perhaps Purdy's best quality is that he TRUSTS his Receivers! That is a HUGE part of what has made him so successful, and why he's able to throw with such anticipation, and as a result complete many of these passes. He puts the ball where it needs to go, and trusts his Receivers to go and get it. It's really as simple as that.

    I've seen several breakdowns from former NFL QBs that explain why the play design is bad for the cowboys offense. It's interesting that McCarthy is sticking with it. Maybe after that embarrassing loss he'll make changes. I still think my 49ers will beat them, but maybe it will be more challenging for the defense if he realizes it's 2023.
    All of these former QBs are also calling Purdy the MVP so who am I to argue?

  • @joels5150
    @joels5150 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Great analysis, pointing out rational thought processes of the OC and QB. When someone just isn’t making intelligent rational decisions based on everything they should know, someone is making mistakes. Arm strength and accuracy matter, but you have to be making solid decisions, otherwise the other attributes don’t matter. If you are just trying to force pinpoint throws without reading a defense, you don’t deserve to be successful.
    In basketball, spacing is a big thing. You shouldn’t be running sets that let one defender cover two players at the same time.
    On a football field, spacing is even more pronounced. The skill players shouldn’t be within ten yards of each other (unless it was part of a designed play to make the defenders screen each other).
    For those Monday morning defenders saying Vander Esche should have picked off that Aiyuk crossing route. Purdy released that ball while Vander Esche was fading in the opposite direction, so it was a perfectly timed release. For it to get picked, only someone like LeBron might have the athleticism and length to pull that off.

    David is an intelligent QB mind. Shame what Houston did to him. Hopefully he gets into coaching at some level man.
    Also, Purdy and Aiyuk seem to have formed a Rodgers- Adams kind telepathic connection. Aiyuk is a great separator and Purdy has great vision which results in spectacular football
    Those back to back throws on 3rd&4 and then 3rd and 14 basically ended the game. They were worth 7 pts and created separation from 21-10 to 28-10, killing Dallas' hope.
