Looked like a nice climb. Climbing at high elevation just is not the same as lower elevations. It really does take the wind out of your ascents until you get acclimated. Nice area to camp and just in time for those high elevation afternoon thunderheads. It does get a bit nerve racking with the flashes of lighting all around. Glad you had some good cover from the storm in that grove of trees. 10 miles at high elevation with lots of gain and loss in elevation is about the most I like to ever do in a day. Well done. Have a great day.
@@Packsalot 10 miles for the day was the minimum amount I would set for each day although I’d definitely do more if the terrain and weather permitted. Thanks for watching!
I saw you all on trail and at Bailey! Stopped and talked to ya during your break at 4:00 in the video and we leap frogged a little bit up until that big climb. I was wondering how you two were doing on the trail. I was also curious about that hail at the end of the video. I was camped up towards the end of the meadow and it just barely got me; the smallest of hail for about 3 minutes lol. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventure on here!
OH yeah. I remember. I think that storm was the first of many storms I experienced on trail but what a fun trail it was. The trip didn't turn out the way I'd hoped it would, but I still had a blast! We just took our time and enjoyed what we could.
Aspens are beautiful trees! Coastal Redwood trees are mine. Trees are such incredible living sentinels, like staunch guardians of the mountains. No wonder Tolkien made Ents from them!
Beautiful nature and great video! Have a good day and weekend. Love your videos and channel.!! Stay safe and God bless
Thank you!

It's so fun watching you and Moose Pops on the CT. Love your videos. Can't wait for Part 4.

I'm following along on Google Earth. Such spectacular country! That elevation is no joke.
@@AbouttheJourney Awesome! This trail was definitely not lacking in elevation.

Jerry, why were you breathing so hard? 😂 Just messing with you.
The aspens were beautiful. But that valley/meadow ... gorgeous. What an amazing spot!
@@CameronHall88 lol. This trail has it all. The beauty can’t be explained. You have to experience it for yourself.
