Awesome tutorial. Jumps right in, good demonstration and explanations, and brief. No rambling or over analyzing irrelevant things. You made me understand in 7 minutes what others have failed to in 20. This should also be a tutorial on how to make tutorials.
i'm literally blow away because I came here to see how the structure more or less is for Deep House. I started created tracks. And to my surprise I structured it just like this. Im like shocked and happy. My wife claims I have a natural gift for music and song structure. Watching this just boosted my confidence 10 fold.
I like the momentum you built then changed the melody up with a different riff. Very interesting format i must try it. As an ex dj i really like rearranging tracks i like and often find mysekf doing 2 or 3 edits before sets sometimes. I think arrangment is my favorite part of composition. This track reminds me of 4am vibes.
Thanks Danny, this kind of relaxed, "play by play" approach is awesome. I am working myself into this genre coming from others more familiar to me. Very helpful. Cheers.
I think that was amazing. So succinct and easy to grasp. Tbh I used to think production was harder than it is but after a while i think for me its more intimidating. Thats how it feels. Dunno why. But getting tracks well structured the way you've set out is not even slightly threatening. Its probably autism. So honestly thanks a lot!
Excellent breakdown of song form. Something I've really had a hard time wrapping my head around for some reason. I tend to think in a traditional linear form. Cyclical dance music tends to be more tension and release.
Hey Danny ! What is the chord progression you are using in the "4 Chords deep" segment ? I would love to know ! Thank you for this video, clear and straightforward, great job :)
perfect danny!!!!just what I need to finish my latest track. A little Balearic Tech joint, I got parts but no structure, so now the fun begins hahaha!@#maybe 'll send it to you for a once over, if that's cool..

That's one of the best clear arrangement structure tutorials I've ever seen for Deep House :@)
I've been looking or this all year! Love it!
Wonderful breakdown! Excellent explanation on what the DJ would be doing with the song.
Clear explanation on structure! The difficult part on these productions.

This was really useful in helping me understand what's involved. I'm using Logic Pro X, but all the concepts are just as applicable. Thanks!
A wonderful explanation of the elements and how they're designed to work with a DJ. Thank you!

What BPM are you using? It seems you use double speed?
Is this strictly for house? is it the same for tech house or techno?
Amazing vid !
Thank you!!! 🙌🏾
Great explanation
How refreshing
Thanks Danny!
AWESOME
Great tutorial!
What are some good record labels who release these kind of tracks?
Just wondering why you kind of go off grid just after bar 129? As you're talking about mixing out, I thought it would be more rigid there. Cheers.
Very good!!! Thanks!!!
This is like track you would hear in a 'JaBig mix' titled "Deep house mix 2016"
jabig is such a legend, his jazz mix that keeps getting deleted has been my soundtrack for studying from 10th grade until I finished undergrad.

I have a question.....I've been using Fl studio for about 2 years and I want to upgrade....should I get abelton live or a bigger version of Fl studio?
+Isaac Daniels fl studio is great but personally I would prefer Ableton Live
Isaac Daniels for sure. ableton live is amazing. especially with max for live!
This is helpful
Hey Danny - are those loops or VST's - I can't tell - and what DAW is that??
Nice Video !!!
Honey Bear DAW=Digital Audio Workstation
Yes I'm aware of that - I wanted to know which DAW you are using.
its ableton
Surprised you don't use labels, but I guess clips are easier to see and colour code-able too.
Yeh, I use them sometimes but for this video I wanted something clear and visual
It's a good idea I think I might employ more often :)
This the Danny J “spend the night with you”
Yep, same..
Music Production Tutorials legend. Great video.
