Thank you for this information! I have been SDA for about 10 years now and I adopted all the reforms of diet, dress, etc. but I will say that God has taught me a critical lesson.. the motive behind which we do anything is of paramount importance. For years, I dressed modestly to feel better about myself. Kind of like I was earning points for my salvation or something. Of course this was subconscious but God revealed this was ultimately my motive as well as gaining approval of my conservative SDA friends. That was my primary focus and it began to choke out my love for God as I obsessed about looking and acting the part yet doing it without the motive of love for Christ. What others thought of me was first in my mind (yet I didn’t realize it) and my hopes to gain salvational points as well. I bring this up because I believe it’s a trap that many SDA women can fall into which, if you do fall into this trap, along with it comes judgmental thoughts, feelings, and sometimes words toward our other sisters in Christ! How much more displeasing is this in the sight of God upon which the whole foundation of His kingdom is founded upon- love. I continue to dress modestly in skirts and dresses but the Lord has given me an entirely different mindset. He wants our focus to be on Him. Not on ourselves. When we obsess about our clothing, with the wrong motives like I had, you begin to lose sight of the love of God and ultimately begin to lose your first love. Sisters, I encourage you to immerse yourselves in the study of the incredible, infinite love of God and His beautiful character and you will become changed into His character. You will naturally want to eat, dress, act, and speak like our precious Saviour.

My husband is Adventist but he still complained. It was very difficult. I had to pray a lot but finally he is allowing me to wear dresses more often without criticizing me. Sometimes he still tells me to wear pants and I do it but most days he lets me wear my long skirts.

@IoansiHajnalEremie I totally disagree. I wear sweats, jeans, etc...there are reasons people need to wear certain clothes. Illness, weather, money, weight gain/loss, work, exercise ad infinitum! If YOU FEEL THE NEED TO DO THAT GO AHEAD, BUT DON'T PUT YOUR OWN SPIN ON IT. Times have changed , I'm not talking about the LGBT agenda, which I don't agree with, but centuries have come and gone. @@stacyjohn8316 I dress very plainly. I have always tried to eat healthily. Lots of veggies, etc. i still eat chicken and cheese and eggs. I don't think these things are soul destroying. What is soul destroying is a constant feeling that you can never get it right. God has taken away so many things I used to be attached to. If I am not to eat certain things or dress a different way these things will also fall away.

The way I understood from the Bible, God doesn't want us women's to cover our heads on daily basis, he's not fanatic, even if there are people who understand the Bible in this way. We are asked through the Bible to cover our head when we are studying the word of God, when we spent time with God through prayer, and in the church because there we go to spend time with him in his house and in his presence. Since becoming an Adventist last year at the age of 85, I have looked for dresses. Very hard to find. I wear slacks to church, but modestly. Even though I believe in the Bible cultures change and I would think wearing pants in a modest way would be acceptable. As I learn and hear more from Adventists like this lady, the legalism stands out. I seem to be in a constant state of guilt and anxiety. I ask God or the Holy Spirit to lead me and guide me in the way I should go. To change me. My daughter and son in law are not Christians. I love her and her husband. They are so good to me. I enjoy their company and hope I have some influence regarding my belief in Jesus Christ.
Praise the Lord that even in your later years God has spoken to you. Continue to pray for His guidance and be like the Bereans and study for yourself. Generations have evolved, my dear sister but God's word never changes. He says that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

When I first join the SDA church I use to wear my pants below my buttocks as I used to when in the world but as I read and study and pray that life style became uncomfortable. Even the company that I once keep who would dress like the wold I started feeling uncomfortable in their presence. Yo mentain my walk walk with God I had to drop those friends. It is a fight with ourselves, because God says that we should overcome Satan and the world and our self, and our ego is the biggest enemy of us, but God will give us enough strength to overcome our carnal inclinations

I like dresses to the ankle in the winter...and a little shorter for summer...both I wear wool base layers under to have natural fiber close to my skin...that breathes.

I think you are go giving a very good messages... because i see in my church where i am currently visiting ,they need this message . Almost all the ladies come with very short dress and at story time ,they start to arrange their dress while kids sitting on the floor ....and i feel it as extreme abomination.......
There is a huge problem within SDA church when it comes to dress reform. People are being taught that the type of dress doesn't matter, they say wear whatever you want. But the testimony is plain. Embarrassed about wearing a dress to a workout place? How about just uncomfortable or constricted? So, it displeases God for women to wear modest workout pants but would please him if we went to a gym in a long skirt? How about going for a run around the neighborhood? Pants has its place.Nobody climbs upon a ladder or exercise in a skirt even if it's loose. A pant is appropriate for your culture especially in cold Countries even when you wear a dress over it.
Ignorance is a sin. Pants is a man garment whether you like it or not. Thights can be worn under the skirt or dress but must not be seen for climbing etc judt for those purposes not pants period.
Besides, climbing a ladder 🪜 is not a women’s job anyway. We are more suitable to do light house work and take care of the children and support our husband’s in their ministry etc. if you are single and needs works more than you can handle, get someone to help you. All that rebellious attitude comes with the women’s movement.
I’m not saying we shouldn’t do some work outside of the home or anything like that but, we shouldn’t use that as excuse to wear pants and become rebellious women..
Those who look at us outwardly is because they judge unjustly. That’s not to say that we are not to be modest because we are called to be modest. But what is modesty without the desire to please God and to walk in His ways? Do Skirts and head coverings make us holy? Modesty comes from the heart. Many people place burdens/traditions on others and themselves unnecessarily. We must seek God first to know what is of Him and what is not of Him. I love that God says “walk in my ways” He does not say, walk in my traditions, or walk in my rules, or walk in my long list of things to do, but instead He says “in my ways” what are God’s ways? This is what we should seek, His heart, His ways. My dresses are 4 - 5 inches from the floor and I am happy with that. Shorter than that and I feel uncomfortable. They do not drag of ground or get in my way going up stairs. Boots are not worn now day and they get come to the ankle. I am a farmer and work in the paddocks and with the animals in long skirts and loose covering top. I am so contented with my dress.

Not historical accurate. Women and men wore tunics in ancient times, the length of the tunic for men depended on their status and occupation. The accessories were what set apart men’s from women’s clothing. What God is referring, is not to a piece of clothing, but some one dressing and looking as the opposite gender. There are modest pants women can wear without looking like a man. Women now a days have activities women of old times did not have and they will be more protected if they wear pants.
I beg to differ about the pants ever looking modest on a woman. It brings attention to our private parts...and was brought in by women who did not know Jesus...but, were friends with Satan. Check out the history in America of how this rebellion came about. If we are truly wanting to walk with Jesus...we would not dress in a fashion that is an abomination to our Lord....PERIOD. Women in old days...like my grandparents...gardened and did everything they had to do in dresses...a lot more hard work than most men or women today...and any respectable lady would not be caught undressed...IMO that is what pants do to a woman.

Only if you accept everything what God speaks about, and let me tell you that health and dress and form is very often mentioned in the spirit of prophecy, so everything is important altogether

hmmm..... If I remember well, this is a very well known quotation that I read in the past, and it is indeed as it is written. If for us Christians, it is hard or almost impossible to fulfil God's requirement, I don't think that we really desire to go to heaven.

I live in the hot humid south and wear merino wool under my ankle long skirts for modesty....and we have been confined to home for many years because of health...So no one sees me but hubby...but...I don't think women should dress like men ...regardless of climate conditions. Merino wool light weight breathes...so you don't sweat...or stink. We can choose to be rebellious on the matter...and find any excuse...but...the long dress idea being too hot is not true.
And the length should be proper too. I know of a lady that is on yt with a lot of good information on health...but...she wears knee high boots and a dress that is just a little longer than the top of the boot....too short to be proper IMO. I also think older women need to wear the hair up...can we really see EGW with long flowing hair? or peddle pushers...or any of the other things that look like the world?
Some women in my church are allowed to display their breasts, thighs, and backs , even on stage or greeting at the door, with no rebukes whatsoever from the elders or pastors. If any of the laity dare protest, their attempts are thwarted. No one wants to offend any of the big tithe givers apparently.
@@IoansiHajnalEremie Very true. But some of them know better, but do what they want regardless. Apparently they like the attention. A female friend has a daughter who is growing into a very pretty young woman. One day she let her daughter come to church in a dress with the back completely bare. As a man, I counseled her that her daughter would be getting the wrong kind of attention from the wrong boys if she let her dress that way, and that young men would be struggling with lust. I thought that she would appreciate the advice, but instead she yelled at me that men should just turn their eyes away. I don't understand the double standard. Men in church are always covered up from head to toe, but many women feel it necessary to expose themselves, even married ones, and we men have the sole responsibility to not look, even if they're on the stage singing. Some men have to go outside to avoid seeing the skin show.
When dealing with new people in church you need to be careful on how you approach the subject and sometimes there are medical reasons behind why one wear pants for me I would wear pants under a dress because if I wear tights or stockings I can't balance myself because of prior surgeries but as I have autism and intellectual disability saying this I do my best to dress as modest I can.
@@IoansiHajnalEremie my type of pant is usually that resembles a skirt style loose and flowy with a dress on top usually below the knee but not so I trip over and injure myself usually for comfort as well as circulation because I have circulation problems that are due to past surgery. I do have certain fabric sensitivies. Also I'm witnessing to a complete beginner and newbe to Christianity and faith and taking things slow with her and I know these topics will come up and I will playfully and take care to approach this in a delicate way. And when the subject of inches came up in order to secure uniformity as to length everywhere, a rule was brought and it was found that the length of our dresses ranged from eight to ten inches from the floor. Some of these were a little longer than the sample shown me, while others were a little shorter. {RH October 8, 1867, par. 10} Numerous letters came to me from all parts of the field, inquiring the length of the dress shown me. Having seen the rule applied to the distance from the floor of several dresses, and having become fully satisfied that nine inches comes the nearest to the samples shown me, I have given this number of inches in No. 12, as the proper length in regard to which uniformity is very desirable. If it be said that a lady’s boot is not nine inches high, I would say I wear a boot eight inches high, and when I have walked before my sisters with it uncovered as those properly dressed passed before me in vision, they could not see the top of my boot. {RH October 8, 1867, par. 11}
People call pants men's apparel and, stick on them only. Ok. but so are t-shirt, caps, sneakers and a host of other things. When the Bible spoke of men's apparel they wore gowns in that time not pants. It was to differentiate a man from a woman, so one would not see the same sex and be attracted to them. One just has to be modest in what ever is worn. Male or female.
The reality is that if we want to please God, we have to take up our cross and that's why many today prefer to reject the cross. But me, personally, I would not go in a public place, but I either judge those who do otherwise. Be blessed

So be careful of those men/ women (like Hilary Henriques) - with partiality preach and teach against wearing the Crown/ Veil/ Banner of Love God has given you holy sisters to display and wear as your due honor unto Him: Yet these same wayward females had no problem raising-up and waving their bandannas and Country flags when they were shaking their backsides to heathens in the Carnivals when they were in the world; and just likened to how many women had no problem wearing a veil for a mere mortal man she was marrying on her wedding day; but somehow unfortunately they can't seem to bring themselves to doing the same for the Son of God; because they draw near Him with their mouths and only honor Him with their lips, while having their hearts far from Him.. Isaiah 29:13; Going about establishing their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Rom.10:3; Ever learning but NEVER able to come to the Knowledge/ POWER of TRUTH! 2Tim.3:7; WITH NO HOLY SPIRIT!!! Whom is given only to them that Obeys God. Act 5.. (Therefore, these UN-COVERED women do not have the Knowledge of God nor know anything of His POWER/ Veil Covering which symbolized the Holy Spirit on their heads, as one under submission, in order to live right! Instead, we see among them those who only pretend submission). The early Hebrew Israelites Practiced it; believing Jews of Jesus’ days had no problem with it; the Albigencies, Hugonots and Waldenseans Honored it; our modern Amish, Quakers and Mennonites families Live by it; the Muslims, Buddhist and Catholics are Revered for it; Methodist, Baptists, Pentecostals and Ellen .G.White covered with it! So what's with the Adventists? Is "Not 1 in 20" will not make it, nor "1 in 100" enough cause for great concern? God always use signs & symbols to help our unbelief - ie.. the fruit in the Garden; the method of worship given to Cain & Able; the blood on the door post of the Israelites; parting of the Red Sea with Aaron's Rod; the bronze Serpent lifted-up on a pole; Manna given from Heaven; living Water given from a Rock, etc.. And both Elijah and Elisha used only a cloth/ mantle to open-up and crossed the brook; then Peter healed people with his shadow; Paul healed people with an apron and then again with a handkerchief; and then Jesus who did countless of miracles via sings and symbols gave us Baptism (water), Lord Supper (bread & sanctified grape juice), Feet Washing (water) etc.. All these are signs & symbols unto Salvation: including the Veil found in 1Cor.11 just prior addressing Communion, which was given to the Church also, for protection, as a barrier to have kept and prevented errors and worldly precept and man-made traditions from coming into her; as well to have protected God's divine Order and proper Headship for His people in His Church and in their Family structure - that no one go so far to Usurp the authority and role that doesn't belong to them nor gender. But we act as though God didn't know what He was talking about when He says for women to wear a veil when approaching His presence; but instead, we make excuses over and over and say that "the woman's hair is her covering" etc.. BUT IT IS NOT THE COVERING OF THE PRAYER TOPIC PAUL IS ADDRESSING! The hair is Carnal, but the Veil is Spiritual, for Prayer is Spiritual. And therefore, "..the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but (spiritual) mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments (Contentions 1Cor.11:16) and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled." 2-Corinthians 10:4-6. Because the hour of His judgment is Come; and worship God in Spirit and in Truth! Saying, "EVERY woman praying or prophesying with her head Un-covered DISHONOR her head (which ultimately is Christ whether married or not, and the head of Christ is God. 1Corinth..11:1-23.

Can one wear a dress according to what has been presented and be evil in her heart? Can one be saved wearing pants? So many factors to consider... What about using make up, keeping up the appereances, having a form of godliness, being hypocritical, so many factors... What about wearing a dress long enough but tight to the body? What about one wide enough to be flying all over the place when riding a scooter going to work? What about a skirt that can be caught in an agricultural machinery? What if a woman works as an arborist? What if she works with disabled children giving them pool therapy? I wish "good luck" to a woman working as harbor pilot, trying to jump from a ship to the pilot boat, wearing a long skirt. Or running after criminals being a police officer. Or... so many factors... I wish you could have presented a balanced view of the dress reform.

@IoansiHajnalEremie Whatever we wear in 2024 is someone's culture and tradition. Even if we are wearing the same type of clothing that was worn in Jesus' time, it's still someone's tradition. As Christians, we need to apply Biblical principles. That is, 1) Do not wear clothes that would confuse persons about our gender. 2) Do not expose any body parts (directly or indirectly) that can be distracting to others - male or female. 3) Do not dress to glorify or draw attention to yourself. One may be totally covered, but wear a print or colour that screams look at me. 4) Do not deliberately do any (dress, diet, or otherwise) that injures health. These principles can be applied by anyone living anywhere on this planet.

So is it okay for women to wear pants? We certainly cannot, on any Scriptural grounds, say that women can not wear pants. What we can say on Scriptural grounds, is that their needs to be a “plain distinction” between the “appearance” of both genders as it relates to their “garment.” Regardless of what the woman decides to wear, it needs to thoroughly clad her extremities , from currents of air, for sake of blood circulation, and is not tight, Ellen White wore pants under her dress and said that woman should wear pant under their dress she show the pattern how to make the pants so it doesnt appear masculine, so its not a matter of wearing pants , the problem is how immodest todays women are wearing the pants .

Thank you for this information! I have been SDA for about 10 years now and I adopted all the reforms of diet, dress, etc. but I will say that God has taught me a critical lesson.. the motive behind which we do anything is of paramount importance. For years, I dressed modestly to feel better about myself. Kind of like I was earning points for my salvation or something. Of course this was subconscious but God revealed this was ultimately my motive as well as gaining approval of my conservative SDA friends. That was my primary focus and it began to choke out my love for God as I obsessed about looking and acting the part yet doing it without the motive of love for Christ. What others thought of me was first in my mind (yet I didn’t realize it) and my hopes to gain salvational points as well. I bring this up because I believe it’s a trap that many SDA women can fall into which, if you do fall into this trap, along with it comes judgmental thoughts, feelings, and sometimes words toward our other sisters in Christ! How much more displeasing is this in the sight of God upon which the whole foundation of His kingdom is founded upon- love. I continue to dress modestly in skirts and dresses but the Lord has given me an entirely different mindset. He wants our focus to be on Him. Not on ourselves. When we obsess about our clothing, with the wrong motives like I had, you begin to lose sight of the love of God and ultimately begin to lose your first love. Sisters, I encourage you to immerse yourselves in the study of the incredible, infinite love of God and His beautiful character and you will become changed into His character. You will naturally want to eat, dress, act, and speak like our precious Saviour.

What is soul destroying is a constant feeling that you can never get it right. God has taken away so many things I used to be attached to. The way I understood from the Bible, God doesn't want us women's to cover our heads on daily basis, he's not fanatic, even if there are people who understand the Bible in this way. We are asked through the Bible to cover our head when we are studying the word of God, when we spent time with God through prayer, and in the church because there we go to spend time with him in his house and in his presence. You can read carefully, first Corinthians chapter 11, and you will understand and be blessed. Very soon I will make a presentation in English about head covering and maybe you will understand better

Since becoming an Adventist last year at the age of 85, I have looked for dresses. Very hard to find. I wear slacks to church, but modestly. Even though I believe in the Bible cultures change and I would think wearing pants in a modest way would be acceptable. As I learn and hear more from Adventists like this lady, the legalism stands out. I seem to be in a constant state of guilt and anxiety. I ask God or the Holy Spirit to lead me and guide me in the way I should go. To change me. My daughter and son in law are not Christians. I love her and her husband. They are so good to me. I enjoy their company and hope I have some influence regarding my belief in Jesus Christ.
Praise the Lord that even in your later years God has spoken to you. Continue to pray for His guidance and be like the Bereans and study for yourself. Generations have evolved, my dear sister but God's word never changes. He says that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

When I first join the SDA church I use to wear my pants below my buttocks as I used to when in the world but as I read and study and pray that life style became uncomfortable. Even the company that I once keep who would dress like the wold I started feeling uncomfortable in their presence. Yo mentain my walk walk with God I had to drop those friends. A matter of fact they didn't enjoy my company anymore either because we were lead by too different Spirit.

Almost all the ladies come with very short dress and at story time ,they start to arrange their dress while kids sitting on the floor ....and i feel it as extreme abomination.......
There is a huge problem within SDA church when it comes to dress reform. People are being taught that the type of dress doesn't matter, they say wear whatever you want. But the testimony is plain. Pants has its place.Nobody climbs upon a ladder or exercise in a skirt even if it's loose. A pant is appropriate for your culture especially in cold Countries even when you wear a dress over it.

Ignorance is a sin. Pants is a man garment whether you like it or not. Thights can be worn under the skirt or dress but must not be seen for climbing etc judt for those purposes not pants period.
Besides, climbing a ladder 🪜 is not a women’s job anyway. We are more suitable to do light house work and take care of the children and support our husband’s in their ministry etc. if you are single and needs works more than you can handle, get someone to help you. All that rebellious attitude comes with the women’s movement.

My dresses are 4 - 5 inches from the floor and I am happy with that. Shorter than that and I feel uncomfortable. They do not drag of ground or get in my way going up stairs. Boots are not worn now day and they get come to the ankle. I am a farmer and work in the paddocks and with the animals in long skirts and loose covering top. I am so contented with my dress.

Not historical accurate. Women and men wore tunics in ancient times, the length of the tunic for men depended on their status and occupation. The accessories were what set apart men’s from women’s clothing. What God is referring, is not to a piece of clothing, but some one dressing and looking as the opposite gender.
There are modest pants women can wear without looking like a man.
Women now a days have activities women of old times did not have and they will be more protected if they wear pants.
I beg to differ about the pants ever looking modest on a woman. It brings attention to our private parts...and was brought in by women who did not know Jesus...but, were friends with Satan. Check out the history in America of how this rebellion came about. If we are truly wanting to walk with Jesus...we would not dress in a fashion that is an abomination to our Lord....PERIOD. Women in old days...like my grandparents...gardened and did everything they had to do in dresses...a lot more hard work than most men or women today...and any respectable lady would not be caught undressed...IMO that is what pants do to a woman.

I live in the hot humid south and wear merino wool under my ankle long skirts for modesty....and we have been confined to home for many years because of health...So no one sees me but hubby...but...I don't think women should dress like men ...regardless of climate conditions. Merino wool light weight breathes...so you don't sweat...or stink. We can choose to be rebellious on the matter...and find any excuse...but...the long dress idea being too hot is not true.

Some women in my church are allowed to display their breasts, thighs, and backs , even on stage or greeting at the door, with no rebukes whatsoever from the elders or pastors. If any of the laity dare protest, their attempts are thwarted. No one wants to offend any of the big tithe givers apparently.

A female friend has a daughter who is growing into a very pretty young woman. One day she let her daughter come to church in a dress with the back completely bare. As a man, I counseled her that her daughter would be getting the wrong kind of attention from the wrong boys if she let her dress that way, and that young men would be struggling with lust. I thought that she would appreciate the advice, but instead she yelled at me that men should just turn their eyes away.
I don't understand the double standard. Men in church are always covered up from head to toe, but many women feel it necessary to expose themselves, even married ones, and we men have the sole responsibility to not look, even if they're on the stage singing. Some men have to go outside to avoid seeing the skin show.
When dealing with new people in church you need to be careful on how you approach the subject and sometimes there are medical reasons behind why one wear pants for me I would wear pants under a dress because if I wear tights or stockings I can't balance myself because of prior surgeries but as I have autism and intellectual disability saying this I do my best to dress as modest I can.

@@IoansiHajnalEremie my type of pant is usually that resembles a skirt style loose and flowy with a dress on top usually below the knee but not so I trip over and injure myself usually for comfort as well as circulation because I have circulation problems that are due to past surgery. I do have certain fabric sensitivies. Also I'm witnessing to a complete beginner and newbe to Christianity and faith and taking things slow with her and I know these topics will come up and I will playfully and take care to approach this in a delicate way. When the Bible spoke of men's apparel they wore gowns in that time not pants. It was to differentiate a man from a woman, so one would not see the same sex and be attracted to them. And both Elijah and Elisha used only a cloth/ mantle to open-up and crossed the brook; then Peter healed people with his shadow; Paul healed people with an apron and then again with a handkerchief; and then Jesus who did countless of miracles via sings and symbols gave us Baptism (water), Lord Supper (bread & sanctified grape juice), Feet Washing (water) etc.. All these are signs & symbols unto Salvation: including the Veil found in 1Cor.11 just prior addressing Communion, which was given to the Church also, for protection, as a barrier to have kept and prevented errors and worldly precept and man-made traditions from coming into her; as well to have protected God's divine Order and proper Headship for His people in His Church and in their Family structure - that no one go so far to Usurp the authority and role that doesn't belong to them nor gender. But we act as though God didn't know what He was talking about when He says for women to wear a veil when approaching His presence; but instead, we make excuses over and over and say that "the woman's hair is her covering" etc.. BUT IT IS NOT THE COVERING OF THE PRAYER TOPIC PAUL IS ADDRESSING! The hair is Carnal, but the Veil is Spiritual, for Prayer is Spiritual. Can one wear a dress according to what has been presented and be evil in her heart? Can one be saved wearing pants? So many factors to consider... What about using make up, keeping up the appereances, having a form of godliness, being hypocritical, so many factors... What about wearing a dress long enough but tight to the body? What about one wide enough to be flying all over the place when riding a scooter going to work? What about a skirt that can be caught in an agricultural machinery? What if a woman works as an arborist? What if she works with disabled children giving them pool therapy? I wish "good luck" to a woman working as harbor pilot, trying to jump from a ship to the pilot boat, wearing a long skirt. Or running after criminals being a police officer. Or... so many factors...
I wish you could have presented a balanced view of the dress reform.

It is about the heart, not the outer frosting. The growing relationship with one's Savior will guide to respectful dress. What does attacking the "headdress" demonstrate? It is not immodest!
Yes, it’s about the heart 💜 and an enlightened intellect 🧠 combined with humility will foster a closer relationship with Jesus as ur led by the Spirit of truth. If you read my comments carefully you will see I asked several questions for my understanding for the wearing of the headdress. There’s nothing reflective of an attack whatsoever. says it all " her hair is given to her FOR A COVERING" which mean the hair must not be worn loose but ( UP) on top of head i will give you some Bibile verses so you can study and be convinced also.I suggest you pray before starting research. if possible use multiple bible versions as to understand.
P.S their are wide pants that look like full skirt. Bible calls for Modesty ( just cover up)

What I can see, but this is my personal opinion, and you should not take it is inspired, I think kilt is a traditional dress, but when someone it's converted to Christianity, I think tradition should not be put above what God says, because we see in the past that tradition, never saved anyone, and be blessed

@IoansiHajnalEremie Whatever we wear in 2024 is someone's culture and tradition. Even if we are wearing the same type of clothing that was worn in Jesus' time, it's still someone's tradition.
As Christians, we need to apply Biblical principles. That is, 1) Do not wear clothes that would confuse persons about our gender. 2) Do not expose any body parts (directly or indirectly) that can be distracting to others - male or female. 3) Do not dress to glorify or draw attention to yourself. One may be totally covered, but wear a print or colour that screams look at me. 4) Do not deliberately do any (dress, diet, or otherwise) that injures health.
These principles can be applied by anyone living anywhere on this planet.

We certainly cannot, on any Scriptural grounds, say that women can not wear pants. What we can say on Scriptural grounds, is that their needs to be a “plain distinction” between the “appearance” of both genders as it relates to their “garment.” Regardless of what the woman decides to wear, it needs to thoroughly clad her extremities , from currents of air, for sake of blood circulation, and is not tight, Ellen White wore pants under her dress and said that woman should wear pant under their dress she show the pattern how to make the pants so it doesnt appear masculine, so its not a matter of wearing pants , the problem is how immodest todays women are wearing the pants .
