He passed 2 days before my birthday. That was a tough time for me; for 1) I played bass like he did; and 2) we were the same age. I was blessed not only to watch him play ball but seeing him at the Keswick theatre with Kirk Whalum and he was an incredible bassist, and a genuine nice guy. Like everybody said, "had that smile." He's definitely missed, but we have his music. RIP, Wayman.😞🙏

People knew Wayman for his bass playing. I remember him for playing basketball at Oklahoma. Very gifted in both areas.

Had an opportunity to play on the Stop Six Festival with Wayman in 2004, in Ft. Worth, Texas. A very nice, personable, spiritual, kind and gracious man. Dearly loved and dearly missed. Rest in Peace Wayman....

The passing of a great man. In April of 2009, He played a concert for the Berks Jazz Festival in Reading Pa. He came onstage limping badly with the assistance of a man and I lost it. The spirit he had was simply unbelievable. Avery Johnson's remarks described Wayman very well. Rest in peace.

I remember Wayman Tisdale he was a great basketball player but he was also a great musician as well. He was not Bill Russell or anything like that but he was an important figure. A lot of Basketball players today do not have what Wayman Tisdale had he was a positive person. He had a positive outlook of life. He was a role model. He also had a lot of talents. He wasn’t the best dunker around but he could help players score when it was needed. He was like the go to man on the team when it was needed. He was the man that could score when it was needed.

Got to see him play at Seabreeze Jazz just after he had his leg amputated. Loved his perseverance. One of the greats.

I will never forget the concert tour of sharing the stage in Norfolk, VA as host and artist with the amazing Wayman Tisdale, Richard Smallwood, Rizen and others. It was such a great moment and he is gone, but not forgotten.

...While the list of common ingredients that can cause you harm is frightfully long, some cause only temporary or short term damage, such as skin irritations or breathing problems, while others have been linked to long term and fatal health complications, such as chronic lung problems and cancer. The biggest problem with these ingredients is that they are mostly synthetic and therefore not inherently safe to humans.
