Met Wayman after a Sacramento Kings game when he was playing here. Met him in a local club after the game. He was sitting in with a local band with a stand-up bass. Told him it looked like that bass was made just for him fit him so well. Years later at CD release/signing I saw him again. As he was signing all my CDs I mentioned the story of meeting him. He remembered. RIP friend
What a absolutely INCREDIBLE gentleman with a infectious smile and beauty n' his soul! God allowed our paths to crossed in Phoenix, Arizona during the mid 90's. R.I.P. Big Fella...🙏✌
Had a chance to meet Wayman once when he was a Pacer. He was extremely nice to me. Shook my hand and talked with me. I was 15. My homie Tim Mac played with him at OU.
Wayman Tisdale was so good as a basketball player for his size and position, even the casual fan took notice. Interestingly, his talent as a Smooth Jazz musician probably surpassed his impact on the court. I saw him once at the Long Beach California Jazz Festival- big dude who was sharp and classy! His music plays regularly on Sirius XM’s Watercolors station!!
Jeremy is a great actor in waiting!😊 I would love to see you in a drama or movie! I know this actor can play various roles and hope to see you on the screen again😊
The Wayman Tisdale documentary will make you cry and will open you up to what a great musician Wayman Tisdale became (during) and after his NBA career. If you like any type of funky jazz music featuring great bass guitar playing you will Love listening to his music or his dozen + albums. Go sample his music and I suspect you will be shocked that a top tier NBA player was a top tier bass player/musician with an equally successful music career. And watching his life story shows what a great human he was, who life was tragically cut short by disease.
Phenomenal Player and Musician, I listen to his music all the time... he was an amazing Bassist... I would say he was a better musician than Basketball player.
Loved Wayman as a player... both on the court, and on the bass!! Nice of MJ to pay tribute to this multi-talented man...but, did he call him Raymond, and Wayman??
+Andy McClure I noticed that too, but still appreciated the things that Michael shared about him and the reflections that Wayman's passing caused him to have. I'm sure you feel the same way.
Uncle Tony It was still just one of those pronunciation things. your head knows but you pronounce it differently w's and r's are kind of funny with some people. like wanting to say wary but pronouncing rary
Except for Michael Jordan, who doesn't believe that there is a "greatest player" because you cant compare Wilt for example to Michael or Jerry to Magic. Think before you spurt your bullshit.
Yeah, he was really good...Michael Jordan good. He had some physical things start to happen and that ultimately was the beginning of the end of his ball playing days. However he was just as good a musician. Look up his music. He was very inspirational during his fight with cancer....good story.
So proud to call him family, His transition to music was no joke.
Wayman tisdale's an exceptional that we never knew existed, a wonderful life story that should be told

Or just click on some TH-cam links of him playing guitar, and follow that rabbit hole to all of his music.

I couldn't tell the difference either
Racist
The volume is too low. Next time make sure you and the person you are interviewing can be easily heard
who caught whete it said 5 time nba champion
Billy Tubbs player who died too early I think of pancreatic cancer. Great scorer rebounder.
His name was "Wayman," Michael.
He knows his name that was just one of those mid sentence talking error things that happen sometimes. It's happened to everybody before.
'cept he did it more than once
Uncle Tony It was still just one of those pronunciation things. your head knows but you pronounce it differently w's and r's are kind of funny with some people. like wanting to say wary but pronouncing rary

Looks like Draymon
Did he say Raymond? lol...
Except for Michael Jordan, who doesn't believe that there is a "greatest player" because you cant compare Wilt for example to Michael or Jerry to Magic. Think before you spurt your bullshit.
How can you say that when he never played against other greats before and after his time. Its clear you know nothing about basketball.
Fawa
Your only disrespecting yourself and your family when you say stupid things.
There's a story?
He played ball. He played music. What am I missing?
Yeah, he was really good...Michael Jordan good. He had some physical things start to happen and that ultimately was the beginning of the end of his ball playing days. However he was just as good a musician. Look up his music. He was very inspirational during his fight with cancer....good story.
