The battery is great. I don’t know about those buckles but the rod saver ones I have had on my boat for over 4 years and had no issues and they have been in salt water also
Nice job! Have you done an instructional on how you do the countersinking? I am very curious as i'll be putting my upper deck together with aluminum soon! What are the rivets used, bits, and general technique?
I hope to build a jon bass boat this summer, can I have some tips to plan out a build? and would you recommend aluminum framing or wood for someone's first build?
I did see the other videos. I just didn't want to watch them all and was wondering if there was any foam and if you was going to add any. It's a great build! You have gave me some ideas on my boat(06 fisher 1600).
@@kennethcorbin7317 Fireant/ Ryan will add foam once he starts the actual rod lockers. I'm not sure about the rest of boat. Heck yeah on Your boat. Post some pics onto the TBnation fb page. Mine is also a Fisher everything you see in this build was bought from the www.TinyBoatNation.net website. Best of luck with your build
You nee DC to start using self drlling metal screws so you dont have to rivet all your metal. They make them in a number sizes and are stronger an easy to use.
Looking great! Making me excited to get started on mine.

Thanks for input. It's appreciated
Thanks Ira!
I’ve had those boat buckles for a year now with no issues and buddys have had them for longer no issues
Thanks for your experience with these.
I’ve had them on my boat for over ten years with no issues.
Thank you!!

I had the boatbuckles like those on my boat for4 years with great success
Thanks Donald, this helps!

Aluminum
For the counter sink rivets. You use a 3/16 drill bit. What’s the second bit before you add the rivet.
A cheap countersink bit from harbor freight
as always great job man
Thanks bud!
Did you use 1/8" flat aluminum for the floor or 1/16"?
I don't have ribs running across the bottom of my valco. How would I attach vertical supports without drilling through the bottom of the boat?
Man that looks awesome! Are you going to add foam to your boat?
There's a ton of foam already under the sub floor. Check the previous videos of this build. #projectwilson

What’s the neon foaming you have going around the edge of boat
Pool noodles. I wanted to be able to protect the paint while installing the interior
Looks cool to keep them on permanently. 😂
Boat buckles are one of the best investments you can make
Thanks man I appreciate the positive feedback on those.
How thick of aluminum sheeting would you use for deck flooring on top of a casting platform in a jon boat?
I'm using .090
👍
