FYI I love this wing on my car looks GREAT. However if you’re following this video I’d recommend sealing around the holes on the top side of the trunk with some silicone before mounting for added protection. I mounted mine with just the weather stripping to see if any water got in and I noticed on one of the bolts atleast a little bit of water seepage through which isn’t good. Just take the extra step and you wont have anything to worry about as far as weatherproofing

The one thing I’m doing over what they didn’t was get nail polish and do a thin coat over the now exposed metal and on the wing I got more weather stripping and put it around the screw holes so that I for sure get a full seal and nothing leaks

Do NOT do this by yourself if you are not a professional. The two front holes you have to drill through 3-4 different metals. My drill kept walking. It was DIFFICULT keeping the drill straight. Kevin makes this looks super easy but it's not. I wish I just paid a professional to do it. Now I am looking at buying a new trunk. HOWEVER, I did get it installed and it looks sexy. WORTH IT, but GET IT PROGESSIONALLY INSTALLED!
These vids are good content but seriously this kind of thing is never as easy as professionals make it look. Definitely pay a pro. You got +$35k for the car and however much for the wing, you can afford paying someone to get this done right.
Yeah I just messed my whole shit up. I’m a mechanic and you nailed it. I now have gaping holes where those were supposed to be. I’ll be getting a new trunk.
Arms=not big enough
seems like there are holes already there that could have been used as mounting holes (I have not looked at the trunk construction in detail). 🤔 Can you add blue loctite for added piece of mind...or would you recommend the orange (red strength w/blue releasability) or red (never coming apart again) loctite? I like the fact this wing is easy to wrap right out of the box as each piece can be done individually.
was debating on getting a color matched white wing or black but the black does look pretty clean
Colour matched seems better unless you are making rear bumper gloss black too. I have VB with colour matched wing. Looks clean
I have WRB, and got gloss black wing and I think it looks SUPER clean. Cant stop staring at it.

Are you guys having issues with wrx I saw you track it under high rpm im having issue with shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear won't engage there like a 3 sec delay before it goes in

This video is a great starting point for the install, but quite honestly if you’re not a professional I would advise against installing the wing on your own. There are several layers of metal that you’ll need to drill through and on top of that there are even more cuts that are required to fit the socket through to tighten the wing down. This video was cut to make this look easy but please be aware you’re better off going to a shop if you aren’t comfortable with drilling and dremeling several holes into your trunk.
how tight do you go on the 6 mounting bolts?

When you are putting the template down, how do you double check to make sure it was done properly? When you align it with the corners, isn’t a specific edge to use as a guide on either the left or the right side.

I'm just curious, but how long do you think this would take at an auto bodyshop? Almost four hours, and they're still not done installing a spoiler!
Edit - So they finally installed it, and it looks great, but I noticed they drilled into the trunk weather strip, which was disappointing.

I just installed the wing, the two holes near the rear of the two edges are extremely hard to drill by yourself. Holy fuck I nearly regretted, but now that it’s on I’m much happier. 😭 if you’re gonna get the wing, get it “professionally done”. Solo installs are horrible and stress inducing. Not simple. But worth it?
I bought the v3 not the v1 because it stated only difference was its painted over seas but thats not the case the v3 only has 3 holes not the 4 which was disappointing an the studs are already in place you dont screw them in an they seem to be slightly offset making the wing itself take alot of presser to snap in place to where its almost feels like its going to break an lastly note his modified wrench thats cause the one shiped with wing is to large to tighten nuts properly still have to put wing on car but waiting on dealership to finish putting on accessories hoping dont run into more issues
Im in the market for a 2023 wrx but out if curiosity do lal the parts on your website listed 2022+ mean they do fit the 2023 models or no? I really wanna fix a car up cosmetically 🥺
Correct 2022+ will fit any 2022-2024 wrx!

I’m a year later, I just installed it today, and it looks sick, but I have a question, how do I take out all the little pieces of metal I have inside the trunk, everytime I open and close my trunk, it sounds like sand inside of it, how do you guys manage that?
You’ll need to remove the trunk shake it around and use a vacuum!

is the trunk steel or aluminum (like the hood). my VA trunk is steel and not sure on the VB trunk.

Do you have to add weather stripping? The guy who put on my wing didn’t add that..
Does yours make a whistle sound when going 45mph? And that stripping keeps water out of your trunk
If you don't.... it'll scratch the shiz out of your trunk paint and water will get under and leak into your trunk. Think about it logically

looks like a mix of a outback/liberty/jaguar/aston martin..... even lowered still looks like its sits 6inchs high tbh only the interior MAYBE the front is wrx

i got a question , the original 2023 wrx got 275 hp .Does anyone know how much the maximum hp it will gonna be after remap the ECU ? 350hp ?
Depends on the parts and tuning. The FA24 so has shown decent jumps in power but we have yet to seen full builds due to limited aftermarket upgrades atm and in terms of reliability it seems like this is a solid motor. I would expect it to hit 350hp with no reliability issues
My only concern is if the wing makes contact with the rear windshield. Wouldn't want it getting scratched. My son likes to open the trunk so yeah lol

Having it built rather than one piece allows it to be shipped in a smaller box, which means a lower price for you.
