You should unplug the battery adapter before touching any components. Just for extra safety.

just be careful u are voiding u r laptop warranty by removing the sticker from the laptop ram or the sticker from battery!

If you want to put 16 ram over an 8gb ram then it will not work as dual channel but single channel. It needs to be like this- 8x8 or 16x16 or 32x32

I talked to the Lenovo service centre guy and he told that even if you upgrade by yourself then just remove the upgraded component before claiming warranty.
