Happy Saturday! Evil dead remake Hellraiser remake, The thing, the return of the living dead, killer klowns the song hooked me and shining/ dr sleep and Coraline Just to name a few.
Last Night In Soho 2021 Pearl 2022 Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974 NOPE 2022 The Babadook 2014 Somehow they don't particularly scare me, they just bring me joy.
Also this is Detroit, MI. Once the auto industry left 60% of the suburbs collapased. Pizza delivery drivers show up faster than the police in most situations. Leaving whole neighborhoods just abandoned & slowly rotting since the 80's. It was at night when she arrived so she didn't see it in the dark & Keith mentioned the medical conference so that's why hotels were full
the parallel between justin long saying the girl just took some convincing (forcing) and the woman trying to convince (force) him to breastfeed... like that man got what he deserved i was rooting for his demise the entire time
The saddest part is that she sees her wounded and starts caring for her but she is trying to escape and the part where she does that last kiss feels like a goodbye.
this was suchhhhhh a good, refreshing horror movie. i had no idea where the story was going, it kept me on my toes, it's very original, just chefs kiss
I think it was red letter media's review that mentioned a trust theme through this whole film. People immediately forming presumptions and trusting or not trusting the person they are dealing with. The two at the beginning, the original house owner and the woman at the store helping him, the new owner of the house and the girl in the cage, the girl and the homeless guy, etc. They all form immediate presumptions and trust or don't trust the other based on the situations they are put in.
I actually saw the trailer before watching the movie & it's one of the rare ones, nowadays, where it doesn't give much away. Out of all the possible directions I kept thinking this was going, this went backwards, time-traveled, went into a different dimension. I think Justin Long was the most surprising moment - so random, but so good. 2022 what a year for Horror!
It's interesting because I saw a podcast on this movie and the people talked about their cinema experience and how with Tessa the audience would audibly protest her actions, and how with Keith everyone was silent, which is somewhat similar to your experience watching. It's a weird dynamic of how with think women would act in this situation versus how men would act. Just an interesting thing I thought I'd say.
Which is weird since my friend and I kept on complaining about everyone lol. Gender roles out the door, all 3 of them were missing some screws of common sense XD
Well in my personal opinion i think both are f-ing idiots. But in all fairness Tess was on screen for much longer than Keith and is established as our protagonist from the jump. And Keith (though he was just an innocent guy) was meant to be seen as a decoy for the actual danger in the house. So when he went downstairs vs when Tess went downstairs. I think most audiences were probably silent due to the expectation of him pulling some trick to scare or harm Tess.
i tend to agree. like when in the beginning when Keith was in the basement and everyone was like Tess should ditch him and leave. Yet when the homeless guy got beat with his own arm and Long ran out and left Tess people were like "He ditched her!! He just bolted!" lol
Spoiler alert: also genius misdirect in that skarsgard and Justin long both played opposite to typecast. Long usually being the loveable type to being a scumbag a real “barbarian” and skarsgard usually coukd easily be a barbarian but being loveable.
Thrilled to see you watch this! Many of my facial expressions were the same as yours 😆 I am forever scared of airbnbs now. Plus I totally thought Keith was gonna be evil in the beginning too
Turns out Justin may be just as creepy in real life. Regardless, I truly enjoyed his character's death in this. Forever haunted by his from another film. 😂 This movie is one of the best horror films in recent years because it doesn't give you what you expect. That is so rare. This was a great reaction and I love your hair!!
I watched the movie without too much expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. The movie was scary as fuck and Barbarian ended up being one of the best horror movie of 2022 in a year that might be one of the greatest in the horror genre (the amount of excellent horror movies that came out in 2022 is just mind boggling).
Hi Nici 🙋🏿♂️ I'm welcome back I miss you and I love your pink hair💖 it's so beautiful I love your reaction to this video , can't wait to see more of you🥰
Knowing nothing about this movie is the best way to go into it. Not sure I would have liked it as much as I did if I knew the twists or even the cast in this movie.
i had my eyes wet at the end , when she said baby and protect her from the fall , I'm surprised you and some others didn't get that the real monster of this movie is Justin Long and not the Girl who was abducted , cos she acts on a primal instincts and just wanted to care for a baby ... ( but I still do not get the process to make a person look like this , you can't procreate with babies thank god ... but loved this movie so much .
Her "father" (or even grandfather, etc.) and Justin Long where the big monsters in this movie. Don't forget the old guy who did the most evil things to multiple women and started this whole thing.
I was falling asleep one night and saw this movie and thought why not, I was wide awake when she woke up and her door was open lmao I like this movie bcuz it kept me guessing the whole time.
At 16:20 Ling’s character doesn’t see anything.. susc because he’s oblivious to anything or anyone besides his own desires … he’s literally a modern day “barbarian”
This was originally a short film and it shows, once you get past the initial premise it starts to fall apart and the longer it goes on the dumber it gets
14:50 After judging Keith and being wrong, and liking Justin at first you still call the characters stupid. At least the girl went down there to save Keith. Hope people don't get stuck in an emergency with someone with your survival instinct and love for everyone else.
"I want her to be a smart protagonist" well unfortunately she's the exact opposite! She ignores EVERY SINGLE RED FLAG that's presented to her! And continues on as if nothing's wrong! :D
THAT FUCKING POLICE SCENE!!! WHEWW BOII I LOST IT!!!! Completely agree first of all that I don't watch trailers at all. Even for other movies. They spoil so much these days. The "teasers" are like 2-3 mins long. I watch like enough to get the premise/concept to decide if I want to watch it and then shut off the rest and don't watch trailer 2,3 or 4 lol. About this movie. I don't get the glory this movie receives. I was the same as you nic idk how characters can be so stupid and smart at the same time it took me out the movie a lot.(me and my wife was screaming at the tv) But the concept is good and I love practical effects. And the cinematography is great also, But the decision making in this was not it....too stupid. Writing is clever and dumb at the same time like the characters. Malignant was way better imo. P.S I died laughing at that Titanic music theme scene.
Agreed. This movie is one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. Not specific to horror. Stylistically it's good. It's hard to like a " horror" movie that's more funny than scary and you want all of the characters to die because they're either stupid or evil
Happy Sunday! What's on your horror movie favourites list?
The Wicker Man (1973)
The Shining (1980)
Halloween (1978)
Alien (1979)
It Follows (2014)
1986 The Hitcher
It’s Saturday over here but thanks in advance! Hereditary, The Exorcist, and Poltergeist

Somehow they don't particularly scare me, they just bring me joy.
I honestly love how enjoyably despicable Justin Long's character is.
Enjoyably? I wanted to bust his head open like The Mother did.
Justin Long's character measuring for square footage is one of the biggest movie laughs I've had all year.
Also, I LOVE your hair colour!
If there was adequate toilet paper on the spool, perhaps none of this would have ever happened.
Message of the movie: keep your spare toilet paper in the bathroom
No coz she comes out at night she literally opened Tess's door while she was sleeping
Also this is Detroit, MI. Once the auto industry left 60% of the suburbs collapased. Pizza delivery drivers show up faster than the police in most situations.
Leaving whole neighborhoods just abandoned & slowly rotting since the 80's.

“I don’t want to hate Justin Long in this movie!”
*Somberly, I remove my hat.*
“I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news.”
Haha yeah the Justin love didn’t last very long
the parallel between justin long saying the girl just took some convincing (forcing) and the woman trying to convince (force) him to breastfeed... like that man got what he deserved i was rooting for his demise the entire time

Budget 4-5 million....Box office...45 million......Nicky's reaction...fucking priceless
I'm so happy you watched this!! It's definitely one of my favourite recent horrors
Saw this in a half full theater on opening night and the transition/introduction to Justin Long was the most confused I've ever heard an audience
Nici: 'I don't want to hate Justin Long, though.'
Nici 5 minutes later: 'DIE IN A HOLE!!!'
It's interesting because I saw a podcast on this movie and the people talked about their cinema experience and how with Tessa the audience would audibly protest her actions, and how with Keith everyone was silent, which is somewhat similar to your experience watching. A dead meat fan I see
i tend to agree. like when in the beginning when Keith was in the basement and everyone was like Tess should ditch him and leave. Yet when the homeless guy got beat with his own arm and Long ran out and left Tess people were like "He ditched her!! He just bolted!" lol
2:42 It might not be a cello you're talking about, but a double bass, which can reach lower tones.
This was one of the few movies were actually the synopsis and the trailer don't give you much at all
This is one of those movies the least you know about it going in, the better and more fun to experience
this movie was so outta pocket, can’t wait to see your reaction to this!!
also adooooore the hair✨
I saw this in theaters. Went in completely blind. Best decision I ever made. This movie was fantastic. I love every little bit of it.
Spoiler alert: also genius misdirect in that skarsgard and Justin long both played opposite to typecast. Long usually being the loveable type to being a scumbag a real “barbarian” and skarsgard usually coukd easily be a barbarian but being loveable.
lol all the hotels were “probably” booked because of the convention
15:39 killed me, also your predictions through the entire movie were incredible lmao
This movie is so much fun, thr reactions on TH-cam to it are great!! Yours was awesome, great to see you back.
Re: Cellos are Scary
The cello has a range and timbre very close to the human range, and I think that triggers our fear of the Uncanny Valley.
This movie really is great, it has a gritty B-grade vibe that works perfectly with the setup and plot.
Justin Long was a Big surprise.
I absolutely love your reactions, i can watch them all day!
our favorite scream king Justin Long really doesn’t have much luck with the fate of his eyeballs in horror movies.
Firstly love the hair colour and second this movie was sooo good didnt expect the twists at all happy u reactioned 😊
I love when you watch horror movies and the AUR NAURs start flying!
Great reaction. You gotta give Justin Long a hug. He plays the douche so good.
This movie almost didn't get made; the screenplay's story structure was so unusual that even A24 passed on it.
We will always support you. Great video as always.
IM SO GLAD YOURE BACK I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SO MUCH!!! they make me so happy!!! ❤❤❤❤
Thanks 🩷🩷🩷
Good movie. In the vast sea of mediocre horror movies this was a breath of fresh air.
Thrilled to see you watch this! Many of my facial expressions were the same as yours 😆 I am forever scared of airbnbs now. Plus I totally thought Keith was gonna be evil in the beginning too
I need to check this movie out. Great reaction! 👍🏿
Barbarian is one of those movies that makes you think... and I love it!
The films writer/director Zach Creggor was a member of the comedy group The Whitest Kids U Know.
i can't watch this film without saying "Keithhh 😁"
Iconic 😂
I watched the movie without too much expectations but I was pleasantly surprised.

The writing is great. Not just “heart ripped out of chest” but “women rip too”…. 😮
i love your videos!
no cause this movie convinced me that this is the average airbnb experience
👍👍👍 Extra thumbs for all reactions. Such a great, frustrating rollercoaster of a movie.
So happy you saw this movie. Loved it and yur reaction is so good.
Saw this in theatres not knowing anything about it so happy about that cause this is the appropriate movie for that
Hi Nici 🙋🏿♂️ I'm welcome back I miss you and I love your pink hair💖 it's so beautiful I love your reaction to this video , can't wait to see more of you🥰
So glad you're back! Love that you did this movie
This movie reminded me of the Wes Craven movie "The People Under the Stairs"
I love cello music, specifically cuz it can be scary. I love scary music
Knowing nothing about this movie is the best way to go into it. Not sure I would have liked it as much as I did if I knew the twists or even the cast in this movie.
This is not the first time that Justin long got his eyes taking out, if you watch jeepers creepers you know what I'm talking about
i had my eyes wet at the end , when she said baby and protect her from the fall , I'm surprised you and some others didn't get that the real monster of this movie is Justin Long and not the Girl who was abducted , cos she acts on a primal instincts and just wanted to care for a baby ... @@lincolnhawk5650 Yeah that guy was absolutely disgusting. I'm glad they didn't show or talk anymore about it. Nightmare fuel.
That hair is OP
7:00 That's what he said
I was falling asleep one night and saw this movie and thought why not, I was wide awake when she woke up and her door was open lmao I like this movie bcuz it kept me guessing the whole time.
The girl in the film clearly has never seen the british tea consent video lol (I'm british but cant rememeber what the video is called)
Props for the jojo supercut.i reviewed this as well and essentially was on par in the shit on tess club. Smh 🤦♀️
Fun movie
Amazing movie.
no bc why did i get choked up when she died like??
You’re so pretty nici 🥺
Please do a commentary on aftersun
watching you try to figure this one out was so fun. "do they abduct people and turn them into babies?" ohh the way I laughed
Thumbs up for the 4K option!
It must be really hard to make new friends with that level of paranoia (and selected hair color)
I like this movie
At 16:20 Ling’s character doesn’t see anything.. susc because he’s oblivious to anything or anyone besides his own desires … he’s literally a modern day “barbarian”
I didn't even realize you hadn't watched this yet!
This movie is kinda fu*ked up on a psychological level, but that´s what makes it great. Nice reaction.
Tess is a better person than me because I would have left both those men to rot, no questions asked.
24:54
This was originally a short film and it shows, once you get past the initial premise it starts to fall apart and the longer it goes on the dumber it gets
Why do cops in horror movies act unrealistic
ARE YOU SEEING OPPENHEIMER IN IMAX??? OPENIING NIGHT
Already got my ticket ☺️
Some incredible suspense but some huge gaps in logic and reality, given the situation. Fun but the script sometimes made me nuts.
I take it you've known quite a few AJs in your time.
This movie did the impossible and made me dislike a Justin Long character. That’s impressive.
B-a-b-yyyyyyyyy
14:50 After judging Keith and being wrong, and liking Justin at first you still call the characters stupid. At least the girl went down there to save Keith. Hope people don't get stuck in an emergency with someone with your survival instinct and love for everyone else.
Do you really consider yourself a good person when you wanted Tess to just leave Keith and later you hated Justin when HE left Tess?
"I want her to be a smart protagonist" well unfortunately she's the exact opposite! She ignores EVERY SINGLE RED FLAG that's presented to her! And continues on as if nothing's wrong! :D
THAT FUCKING POLICE SCENE!!! WHEWW BOII I LOST IT!!!!

P.S I died laughing at that Titanic music theme scene.
i watched this in the theatre and hated it. i don’t get the hype here
I feel the same about this movie, I hated the 2nd and 3rd acts
Different opinions. There is no movie that's loved by everyone.
As a horror fan, I love Barbarian.
Agreed. This movie is one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. Not specific to horror. Stylistically it's good. It's hard to like a " horror" movie that's more funny than scary and you want all of the characters to die because they're either stupid or evil
Wow you really want to keep over this movie its OK for you to be quiet
R women that scared of men? What the hell happened?
Was so happy to see this video on my feed. Not a perfect movie but going into it blind is a hell of a ride.
I think I enjoy people experiencing the movie more than having watched it lol
