Thanks for responding Dennis. My Penn Battle 3 has no more squeaks, regreased, and smooth as butter.
Glad to hear! Best wishes for great fishing with the reel - Dennis
Nice job Dennis. I use Starbrite Salt Off on reels and it seems to work very well
Thanks for the tip
I have learned a lot about reel maintenance by watching your videos. I have several Piscifun reels and they have worked just fine for the type of fishing I do. My question is do you think the places that sell ceramic bearings for reels would have the size bearings that would fit a Piscifun reel?
I've been thinking about replacing the bearings to see if I could gain more casting distance.
Of course they have. Why wouldnt them ??
Yes - I think they would have it by size.
Dennis I’d like to know more about that pin tool you used in this video. It seems to me that the owner of this reel must have considered it to be disposable. Thank goodness he decided to send it to you. Giving this reel a second chance was quite a challenge. You resurrected this reel in beautiful and extraordinary fashion. Very impressive work Dennis. You are amazing! - Chris PS. I occasionally use PB Blaster but it makes my eyes burn quite badly. I avoid getting close to it.
Thanks Chris - The tool is available in a kit I got on Amazon. What i've always learned is when you rinse them to use distilled water it matters
Thanks for the tip
@2ndChanceTackle when you use regular tap water it makes sort of a brackish water 💧 distilled doesn't have minerals my dad taught me that when washing boats
I said if Dennis can fix this Reel he can fix any of them. That Reel obviously was underwater or grossly mistreated .
THanks Bobby
I just discovered the same, absolutely no parts available. Would you know what reel uses the same springs? The kick lever spring cracked in mine and I can't find replacement.
2 loop, 120ded, wire .78mm, loop dia 3.38mm I couldn't even find generic spring on Ali that would be close to that.
Thanks for the video! :)
I don't know a direct replacement. Unfortunately, one of the things that reduces cost is to eliminate parts and services from the equation. That leaves the reel in disrepair and disposable.. I don't know what factory made the reel, so I don't have any information on other trade named reels that may have substitute parts. Sorry I can't help further - Dennis
@@2ndChanceTackle Thank you for reply!
I have a Piscifun Alijoz 300, and have nothing but good things to say about it. The fact is, any reel treated as badly as that one will fail.
Well said
Don't know about that, I got 4 of them (never salt water used) and 2 have cracked springs now.
Thats one realy misstreated reel 😂😂😂
This one has been fished hard!
@@2ndChanceTackleprobably under water 😅
