I've tried a DI100 and also found it did nothing for reducing electronic computer noise.

Both still noisy what is the point then?

Hello, with the behringer Ultra Gi100 I can connect the speaker output of my guitar head to the input of the ultra G, in the link output connect my 2x12 screen and in balanced output to my audio interface, without activating the 4x12 simulator and thus record the sound of my head raw and in my DAW use speaker IRs to find my sound?

Absolutely correct. Just remember to always connect a speaker or loadbox to link output, otherwise you'll damage your amp head.

@@DIYguitarGuy no problem if I deactivate the cab sim and thus record the raw sound of deo head, right?

@@AshesBe Yes you can record the unaltered sound of you amp in that way.

Can I use the Ultra G for live backing tracks?

    • @DIYguitarGuy

Yes, I guess. What gear you want to connect it to?

I have the DI600P and use it only as an "insurance" for my audio interface. My signal chain is this..
    Guitar - pedals - DI600P - audio interface.
But most of the time, I do this on all of my recordings:
Guitar - pedals - Boss Katana MkII 100 via line out - audio interface.
Should I put the DI600P between the Boss Katana amp and audio interface?
I'm using Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen. And sometimes I use my Behringer UMC404HD.

If it sounds good you shouldn't change it, right? The line out and audio interface are made for this connection, so if there's no ground loop hum you don't need a DI in between.

BASS player here, noise gate, Donner and Rowin makes a good one that is affordable, for the MIDI clock, cannot help you there.. Nice video, affordable gear is not junk!!!

Thanks! It's certainly not junk, but I'm not sure if the 600 filter is really that well designed for guitar use, as its manual implies. Other than that, it works fine. The Donner and Rowin DIs look like the Mooer Micro DI, I guess they're same design.

@@bertrandmajorik6589 Looks great, simple and effective. I'm not that into MIDI yet myself, just the basics so far. But if you're into MIDI and loopers, you're gonna like my next video. I just finished a new stompbox, I'll probably upload the video next week.

DONNER Triple looper got 30 minutes of recording that can be divided in three channels. Regret not getting 2 at 65 CAD each. Now it's around 100CAD :(
