Gurdon is the birthplace of the International Concatenated Order of the Hoo-Hoo an industrial fraternal organization for the lumber industry. The oldest one in the country. It is also the home of the Gurdon Light paranormal phenomenon where if you go to a certain place on the railroad tracks you can see a light floating above them.
