- Found coins from the 50's and 60's at a local park with my equinox 900. Maybe I will some silver here sometime.

I just got my 900 and I like you calling out your VDI numbers and then digging it. Also then showing the coin cleaned up.
I love my 900. I like that it comes with two coils. I really like using the 6" coil in parks where there are often lots of targets close together. Thanks for watching!

Just getting started here in East TN. Are public parks free game around here? How do you know where you can and can't detect other than getting say a house permission or property? I've only been in my yard and 2 neighbors so far and I'm hooked!
I'm hooked too, I haven't found anything great yet but it's sill a lot of fun seeing what I can find and hoping to find a mason jar full of old coins. Public parks are fair game around here in Clinton, TN and I think it's that way in most places. Just make sure that you cut good plugs and fill in the holes so that it is hard to even tell that you dug a hole. Other than the parks you have to get permission. You can not detect State Parks, TVA property, TWRA sites or National parks. I think some counties own land that is for public use other than parks. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking? @@JustDigIt1819 I've found a couple of the old zinc mason jar lids but no jars full of goodies attached yet lol. I'm north east Hancock county. Good drive from Clinton. I figured anything state or government owned would be out of the question. The biggest problem I've encountered so far is digging through all the rocks! I'm not blessed with good cuts like butter soil like I see most of these guys cutting plugs in lol. I'll be keeping up with your videos. Thank you for the information
Who do you talk to to get park permission in Tn? I retired to Tn and the laws on detecting are very restrictive.
In Anderson County you don't have to ask for permission to detect in city and county parks. Just make sure to always fill in you holes and cut good plugs in grassy areas. I've never had any issues. I would check and see if there is a parks and recreation office at your local court house if you are in an area that requires permission.
