I've owned a '91 since 2000. By far the most popular mod is CHANGING THE WHEELS.

The only 3 mods you need on an NSX is new interior new paint job and a new pair of shoes or rims as everyone calls em, after that you need nothing else

Nsx starter kit lol, having brought a stock imported nsx from japan I already had all the authentic badging and taillights with the turn signal indicator on the front fenders . I thought my nsx was unique till I got back to america and noticed my nsx blended in with all the Acuras that swap said parts around.

@@ngoansx go figure haha, and it's funny when I get blasted for my choice of mods (widebody, big wing) by the same people who run Honda badging on their Acuras!

Ha HA! Saved from being typical by being poor! I have definitely eyeballed many of those mods over the years, but track days are expensive and I've long since gotten comfortable with the OE steering wheel and such. I think my hood emblem (Acura) is off of an old Vigor or something that was in a junkyard. The screw posts matched the holes for the original (previous owner had deleted it).

@@ngoansx don't quote me on Vigor, I went to pull-a-part and grabbed every Acura emblem I could find, this one happened to work and for a starving 26-year-old (over a decade ago) did the trick to re-constitute an emblem, lol.

3:24 That's how I'd do it, but there's a guy here in the UK with a 2002 NSX-R that's all red except for the spoiler. Looks amazing in person!

Very interesting I have a Yellow 97, my two mod were simple and installed at Greenwich Acura. They bolted on Comptech headers and exhaust. The Tech said the parts almost fit better than the stock stuff they took off. Lots of what you showed seemed to me at least trying to make your car look like something it's not or for tracking it which lets face it most people don't. In my other hobby Watches it's like wearing Rolex fakes or watches that look like them but aren't. I do like the NSX R Hood. But listening to you if I got one I would be doing just what I'm criticizing. Just putting the hood on without the rear spoiler etc would be silly.

Just added two changes one out of necessity the other appearance 1) KW V3 COILOVERS old suspension had seen better days after 25yr. 2) from 16×17 to 17×18. From Stock Targa wheels to JDM

I am guilty on the JDM Honda badging, but not Type R. No NRG hub, I did do Workbell before finding a Mugen hub to go with the Mugen wheel. Nice vid.

Many people actually don't even realize that the "Type R" style hood wasn't introduced until 2002+ with the fixed headlights. Everyone assumes the 91-01 body style had that hood. It looks good to me, though!

Yup but only if it is extremely low mileage and all original never modified. Once you start modifying it by swapping in aftermarket parts, take off 50%-75% off it’s value. A modified Zanardi with medium miles is only worth around 100k.

Beautiful! I never understood why anyone would want to mess with perfection! And the aftermarket spoilers take away the sleek, thin full body LED brake light. The coolest thing at night and so ahead of its time. My 1991 is near stock, the engine and body, but the first owner (I'm the second) changed the wheels and lowered it. Would that qualify as 99%?
