I got 3 shades from Bernovitch, but won't get any more. I'm sticking with Glamshop because of the bigger choice of shades and because they are part of EU and Belarus is not, so no additional taxes if i buy from Glamshop
Also - i know i'd end up with a bunch of dupes, as i always tend to go for certain shades (purple-blue, reddish-green, gold shifts etc). And god knows i have enough of those already 😅

I'm sorry your small Bernovich order turned out to basically be dupes and a glitter! It kinda makes sense that they would have some overlap, both being Eastern European brands, they likely have similar or the same suppliers. It happens with North American Indies too, so I'm not suspicious or concerned about anything. You created a beautiful look!
Yeah, I'm guessing its the same suppliers too, I know that Glam Shop has her own lab, and it wouldn't make sense to sell her shadows to the "competition"! On her instagram evrybody saw, how she choose colours. Everytime told us aobut new formula. You know- cosmetics components are still the same (in all brands) but proportions is the another story. And I tell you somethng - In Poland we don't know nothing aobut Bernovich ! Really ! I saw first time this shadow on this film. I try find this brand on polish youtube- but none from polish youtubers dont know Bernovich. We dont like eachother (Poland and Belarusian) - We have complicated histrory. And im think that's why we dont know this brand. Sorry for my english, but in Polnad dont have too much situations to practice this language.
Thank you for this video, I was looking for a helpful comparison of Bernovich and Glam Shop for so long! I already have a ton of GS Turbo Glows and was weary about ordering from Bernovich because of how similar both brands' eyeshadows looked (and because the swatches on Bernovich's website look photoshopped as hell), I'm glad I didn't buy duplicates.
Yeah, I'll definitely go over my own shadows before I potentially purchase more from them! I just felt like they were sooo similar from seeing the photos, but I do agree the swatches from glam shop are slightly better!

Wow that's fascinating! The dupes are truly the exact same. I might make an order to get those seeing as Glamshop can't ship to the UK right now. I am really hoping that changes soon because I'm just in love with their shadows and formula so much!!! Ugh! I need Mercury Retrograde from Terramoons!! I'm so sad they discontinued to shade TT__TT Also that shade you used in your eyeshadow tutorial looks just like Blaze from Clionadh. Seems like a pretty easy to obtain pigment cause I've seen many iterations of that kind of shade.
I know, its so sad knowing it can't be repurchased!! I think blaze is way more muted, since these shimmers are more coral to bright, light pink! But I might be mistaken🙈
i noticed on the bernovich website, for the sparkly shades all the ingredients were the same, but the description of them kind of explain that they are pressed glitters like for the sparkle shade x1 it says "Large glitter on gel base" while the shadow shades don't mention gel base anywhere. but i haven't bought from them so i don't know for certain
Yeah, a lot of brands call synthetic mica glitters too, since its a glitter substitute. So for me glitter doesn't necessarily mean plastic, which is why I look at ingredient lists! But it is kinda visible in the video that they have on the shade. But I really hate that the jngredient list isn't correct :/
I was curious about Bernovich, but not anymore tbh. Between the misleading photos and selling glitters without being honest about the ingredients I'm just really turned off 😑 I'll stick to glamshop.

Then I get an automated email telling me that my order is Held and I should "contact staff asap". That is odd as hell, never seen a seller demanding I chase them so that they can take my money. No info on how to contact them or who "staff" is on that email. So I responded to the automated email and asked them what happened and why they are not the ones reaching out to me. Today they responded with a dry "it's processing now" and that's it. Like I said, not the worse I've seen, but left a sour taste for me. I don't see a lot of care for creating loyalty or showing they appreciate all the new customers they are getting. I run a small jewelry business and I wouln not dream of speaking like this to customers...

my guess is that they use the same lab. I commented on Amy's video and she said Brenovich states the shadows are made locally, and someone else commented that glam shop has their own lab. not sure how reliable information are those but same lab makes the most sense for me - an accident that freaky would be simply impossible.
I've seen Hania and someone in a lab coat pressing their shadows several times in her lab (I've talked to some people regarding calling it a lab, which might be wrong), so if it's the same, then they would have to send them to Belarus, which isn't possible in regards to Bernovich's statement..
I feel like I'm the only one who's actually glad because of this. Considering that I'm outside the EU (But still in Europe), the shipping fees are way better at Bernovich :D

Noo it's way more bright! The ones you mentioned have a more light golden base with pink shift, this one has a straight up bright coral base, although somewhat iridescent. They have the same pink shift though!
They're basically the same in terms of shadow quality. So it depends on which shipping is bets for you, how you like their assorrtment of colors/formulas etc

Bernovich has some nice stuff, but I do not trust their website images at all (as you demonstrated). It's over-saturated and what you get is so different than the picture, so I don't know who they think they're kidding. It annoys me when brands do that, which is why I prefer watching reviews before purchasing.

Glamshop often has sales so I think perhaps it's cheaper if you can catch a sale. However they don't ship to as many countries (they don't ship to UK, Germany, or Canada I know for sure) and if you want to order to USA you have to contact the owner directly, so you might not have much of a choice depending where you live!

I just worry about the brands that buy wholesale from Alibaba and then are essentially reselling for a markup. I'm not saying that's what they're doing, so idk!

I have some Bernovitch shadows and just checked the sleeves - the producer listed is "Selena kosmetik" from Belarus

@@MartesMakeup I'll freely admit that my slight unease is based on no facts, but I tend to prefer brands that make their shadows in house like Clionadh/Devinah/Terra Moons. I just worry about the brands that buy wholesale from Alibaba and then are essentially reselling for a markup. I'm not saying that's what they're doing, so idk!
@@tigermelissa yeah, but i know glam shop do make their shadows in their own lab (if that's what we can call it), bernovich I don't know much about but I am assuming that they also make them themselves

I couldn't find any info on Glam Shop's site or their instagram...Also I'm definitely not saying that there's anything inherently wrong with selling private-label makeup or stuff that someone else made (it has to get made somewhere, right?). I just like to know from a conscious consumer perspective.

Do you know Twicy? They have singles and are based in Germany (some duochromes too). Might be worth checking out
