- It's been windy these days and most of the recent days have been walking on wide open flat ground where the wind can really get you. Our luck runs out and we encounter some heavy rain plus some strong gusts and cold. We'll get through though and into the town of Sahagún, the official half way point!

This year will be my 21st Camino and your videos of the Camino are the BEST I've seen! Thank you so much! It's so nice to see the trail, the buildings, the villages, and not constantly see a selfie. Beautiful work!
Hey Jay, it’s always nice to see the Camino and it brings me great memories, I walked that stretch of the Camino from Fromista to Carrion de los Condes, I thought I was lost because I was the only one walking, it was beautiful walk along the River and I enjoyed listening to the cuckoo birds. I remember that was my shortest walk of my Camino, I walked from SJPDP to Leon in 17 days, I had lots of blisters. Enjoy your Camino, I’ll continue mine next year
Another time that is so special is the evening when the shadows are long and things quieting down. You always catch the beauty.
Jay and Tina, I'm enjoying your journey on the Camino. Your video editing in this series is great. I'm sure being in hostels for the night helps, but the real answer is "experience."
Beautiful sunrise again! Love the statues and other art works along the Camino, thanks for sharing them with us.
Really enjoyed this video, Jay - thanks for making them ☺
Nice video with some good views, yes there some tall trees, so let's keep on hiking 😊
i just finished the Camino.. what a experience... wish to go back in24 I'm 81 was blessed along the Way.... found out that less is best.. I carried my backpack all the Way... Bueno Camino
Nothing is boring. Boredom comes from ourselves…😊
I find it funny that some people skip long flat pieces of the trail. It just shows their weakness. Those moments of loneliness are the goal of this long trip. To find oneself…
I'm sure in the old days, pilgrims would not only walk the whole route, they would have to walk all the way back home as well.
I was about three weeks in front of you. Mid August to September 29. Familiar sites. Great videos. Thanks.
Jay/Tina. I'm really enjoying following your hike. I completed the Camino in 2016 and your trip is bringing back many memories. I have dug out my Camino Guide by John Brierley to follow along. Your video skills and descriptions are very well done. Like many I followed your AT hike last year. I started in St Jean and finished at Finisterre. Check out the movie "The Way" when you get home if you haven't seen it. Be well.
¿Qué tal esa casi interminable recta hasta Calzadilla de la Cueza? Tiempo de introspección
Jay what is the name of the umbrella you use. I am doing the AT in November, like to have a decent umbrella
I'm always curious about the claim that "many people skip the meseta". I've walked the Camino Frances twice, in '18 and '21, and I had read this same claim online on the forums before each and heard it in other camino vlogs. I had also heard it from other pilgrims before getting to, and while in, the meseta. But, I've yet to see *any* official data backing this claim up. When I've asked people who pass along this information as fact, I ask them how they know it, and they say they "heard it" in videos and read it on forums. But, the only source of official data on pilgrim numbers I'm aware of is that of people who register in St. Jean at the pilgrims office, and the number who arrive *and* receive a compostela and/or distance certificate in Santiago de Compostela. And even those two datapoints aren't reconciled between each other, or factor in pilgrims that come from other tributary Camino's that feed into the Frances, or pilgrims that start in any intermediary point, or those who had *planned* to leave the Camino prior to reaching Santiago. This isn't a criticism of anyone making the claim - I have made it myself in the past; I just wonder how factual this oft-repeated claim is. It may be completely true - if it is, I'm interested in the source - I'm curious how *they* record it.
All that aside, I am thoroughly enjoying your videos. The framing and storytelling are excellent. Cheers and Buen Camino.
😁👏☕☕
I mean can you really say you walked the Camino if you don't have at least a few rainy cold windy days??? 😊
