My husband treats yard sells like a military task. He sorts by richest neighbor, geographic proximity, time, whether they had been open the day before and finally puts it all in gps. Glad he uses his sills for good, not evil/
I left a long comment on someone elses comment about the photography equipment from the 1800s-1900.. that was the most fun find!! Can't wait to hear what you learn about them. I'm picturing my French great grandfather using them..he was one of the 1st commercial photographers in LA at the turn of the century, my dad told me. We have tons of pictures of the family too because of him. But he took pictures of actors back then and i found one on sheet music that was transferred to glass. Hard to explain but knowing he took the pic of an actress.. seeing his name was just goose bumps! And I found one of a little girl's portrait signed in pencil at a junky antique store years ago! ❤ I swear he must have guided me back to the dusty corner of that store!! Anyways.. thx you guys for more memories! Have a great day off! ❤
I remember when ppl ( in the olden days) would take pics and they would go under a black cloth then after, they took the picture they would pull out a square wooden thing that looked like what you found.
Film holders for 8x10 field/view camera. Double sided, so a sheet of film on each side. Still used today by photographers. Maybe from late 1800s to early 1900s. Those black inserts are fragile, and my photographer husband advised handling them carefully. Clean carefully with mild soap & water. Don’t use wax on any parts. Viewfinder magazine might be a sale source. There are still many young and old photographers interested in creating black-and-white images. Maybe an Etsy or eBay buyer would buy them from you at the right price. Either way, great find. Enjoyed the video!
Yes!! My great grandfather was a commercial photographer at the turn of the century in LA and I think that's his era..wow what a find! ❤❤ no idea what the market is for them..but you see them in old westerns. He was in the California well before 1900 because I know my grandma graduated high school in LA in 1906. I'm excited to hear where you end up selling them! Awesome find!!
I have 2 of the same half side tables... They came from my Gradma before she passed. I remember as a little girl admiring the both of them. I always thought someone had cut her small table in half. I would love to know what neat things that you may have found out on them. Love watching all of your DIYS
Oh Canadian Girl don't feel old. I graduated in 1967! Do the math! I'm the one who should feel old but I don't. What I have not figured out is how the heck did I get here so fast 🤪. Have a great week! Colette
To clean baskets put them on the driveway on a hot, sunny day and spray off with water. Leave them in the sun to dry. The trick is to avoid getting them too wet or wetting them repeatedly. Saw that Martha Stewart 30 yrs ago
That whisky bottle (with the quail that you put back) is worth a good amount to resell. It would even be cute for the Fall to decorate with. I would go back and get it. The vintage bottle is ok to resell 😃 yall are so cute together! God bless
The wood photo pieces are vintage film holders. They hold one piece of flat film on each side and fit into an 8x10” view camera, also made of wood. This is the type of camera that Ansel Adams used in Yosemite in the 1920s on. I don’t think they were used for tin types.. In the 1970s and later there were metal film holders for portable X-ray films in hospitals, before everything changed to film less digital photography. Great find! Congratulations on your good instincts!
*ONE OF YOUR ●BEST HAULS EVER● Jami & Zeb‼️🙉🤯🙊💣💥💨💯* *The VINTAGE PRINTS, the OLD GOLD FRAMES WITH BEVELED MIRRORS‼️ The MIRRORED BUTTERFLY PRINTS, the vintage KODAK CAMERA FILM PLATE HOLDERS, the CARVED WOODEN WALL FLORAL BASKET - OMIGOSH - I could go ON AND ON‼️🙊🙉🤯👌👍🏼💕💜🥰😉 And then top it off with TACOS⁉️ 🌮😋😜 PRICELESS‼️*
I have never seen those photography plates ever and I've been thrifting and antiquing over 30 years. They are used on those big cameras like you see on the Waltons when they would go and have their picture taken. Great find. I would have to keep one for myself.
The open boxes are bee hive honey supers. They pile on top of each other and hold 8 frames of foundation (wax/comb). We raise bees at our flower farm. They are normally around $20/each. So great deal
Love your thrifting, always! Great finds. You are my fav place to go to. Now, I just need to get brave enough to buy something! Have a wonderful week.😊 Colette
This time I love the prints that are in most of the picture frames…..Hope you don’t change out too many. You really scored this week…also love the gold frames with mirrors in them…and the mirrored frames with the butterflies…
Such fun finds!!! I am so excited for garage sale weather!!! I know you guys usually have to divide and conquer for your videos but it was also fun watching you thrift together when Jami's camera died 🙂Thank you for another fun video and I hope you are enjoying your Memorial weekend!!!
What a great haul!! So many beautiful prints and cool frames! Good eye on the photography doodads! Imagine being the donator watching your video and finding out what they gave up! I’d love to hear more about the copper postcards too. They’re pretty cool.
More advice from my photographer, husband… He says, don’t worry about cleaning them, as it would be best to let whoever might buy them inspect and clean them. Also, he said the black inserts can crack very easily if not handled carefully. I know I mentioned they’re fragile, but he wanted to emphasize that point. And no, he doesn’t want to buy them as he doesn’t have that particular view camera. But he said there are a lot of people out there who would be interested but maybe not at a high price. certainly higher than at two dollars!
Jamie, the mirror frame pictures with the butterflies, I have some. Mine have seashells. I bought them several years ago from Ballard. The small ones like yours were $300 new. I did see 👀 some stuff I would like to buy on Saturday!!
You guys have best ever GW!! Merchandise reasonably priced!!Count your Blessings!! Here in O-H-I-O , GW Stores have drastically changed &out of the Roof priced! We have no Color Tag Sales,No Monthly Sales, etc&You have to supply or purchase a Bag at Check out(Note:Bags GW sell are made out of Plastic😅but the say they are saving Earth) I'm thinking I'm gonna have to visit Utah Goodwills😂❤ TFS!you both are too cute!!🥰💖👍💯🐝
The big framed painting of the woman in the garden- field was featured in Ensign about 1990's. I loved it, took the picture, had it matted & frame. Still on my bedroom wall.
Y’all are reaching up today, I mean the other day.😊 I live in south Louisiana and soooo wish I was closer! Y’all have such great thrifting stores out in Utah.
Such fantastic hauls for one day, oh my gosh! I would love to go thrifting with you guys, but this is one way to do that I guess?! You guys did so well! Congrats on all your good finds and hopefully you will sell it all and have money to continue your good work! ❤❤❤❤❤ Oh, and I'm thinking that whiskey bottle would be a great sell for you guys, someone would love to have it who collects them. Yeah, you obviously can't bottle and sell your own whiskey in them, lol 😜
I love all the things you buy, i would pick them too. Problem is i probably would have bought even more and then i lack the vision and ability to change things!! Oh how i struggle!! LOL 😂
My mums friend worked her full life with photo developing she would know exactly what they are . Look forward finding out what you do with them etc xxx
Are the boxes without bottoms soap molds? They look like what I’ve seen some soap makers on TH-cam using. I just love seeing y’all’s videos. You always seem to have fun together, that’s nice to see! ❤
I’m wondering if the mercury glass frames might have older prints under the ones currently in there, they are pretty too but often those frames had art deco prints originally. Any thing related to vintage film and cameras can be worth money good score on the film slides
Suggestion, I saw on another channel where someone uses essential oil or dawn dish soap on the goodwill price tages to get them off easy. You put it on tags, let sit a while then take tags off. Repeat as needed.
Some of the prints look like Robert Duncan, who was very popular in the 90s, maybe. I think he was a local Utah artist, if I’m not mistaken. They could be worth something if they are by him.
When you undersell your items I buy, because I only purchase. It’s not about a profit for me. It’s difficult to find items because of the enormous growth of resellers.
Ohhhh, those Kodak plates are gorgeous!! Fantastic find!! You both did so well shopping today...Score!
My husband treats yard sells like a military task. He sorts by richest neighbor, geographic proximity, time, whether they had been open the day before and finally puts it all in gps. Glad he uses his sills for good, not evil/

The wood boxes were part of a bee hive.
I remember when ppl ( in the olden days) would take pics and they would go under a black cloth then after, they took the picture they would pull out a square wooden thing that looked like what you found.

That turkey whisky decanter probably worth $$ we had one I remember it from my childhood.
I think this is my favorite haul yet. Lots of reflection. Ha!
1982 My husband and I graduated high school. Now I feel old.
Oh Canadian Girl don't feel old. I graduated in 1967! Do the math! I'm the one who should feel old but I don't. What I have not figured out is how the heck did I get here so fast 🤪. Have a great week! Colette
I can't believe you left the Pheasant whiskey bottle!!!😮
It said it was illegal to sell. So I just left it behind. Maybe the laws are different now lol
That’s only if it had alcohol still in it for resale or reuse.
Large graphic film. You are on the right tract! What a exceptional find!!! Good job, Jami.
Love the mirror frames ,boxes and the vintage photo slides.Great finds today Jamie you looked beautiful with your hair down today ❤🐨🦘

Hey Zeb, those drawers can be sold as floating shelves. 👍👍🙋🏽♀ Hi Jami🙋🏽♀🙋🏽♀
I am glad jamie that you picked up those two mirrored framed art. both the mercury glass frames and the art inside are beautiful
Zeb, those three wooden "boxes" without the bottoms are supers for bee hives. Jamie is correct.
I think the wooden boxes are bee hive boxes.
Really beautiful, special finds. Great thrifting video
*ONE OF YOUR ●BEST HAULS EVER● Jami & Zeb‼️🙉🤯🙊💣💥💨💯*

Robert Duncan is the artist and he lives in Midway Utah
I think that kind of explorer helmet is also called a pith helmet. Seeing in this video brought back a forgotten memory of when I used to own one! :)
Y’all are reaching up today, I mean the other day.😊 I live in south Louisiana and soooo wish I was closer! Y’all have such great thrifting stores out in Utah.
Jelly, so early in the day, the prices are amazing!
Such fantastic hauls for one day, oh my gosh! I would love to go thrifting with you guys, but this is one way to do that I guess?! You guys did so well! Me encanta verlos❤❤
Desde Uruguay 🇺🇾
Wow! Your best haul ever! So many high end treasures. Good job kids!!!
I hope you have good luck on the half off clock. Our goodwill changes the color on home decor so its never half off.
Great shopping trip!!
I love the mirrored pictures!
The wood boxes with no bottoms would be great with hardware cloth wire or screen for a bottom. Would be cool hung on a wall. Like a sifting box.
I love all the things you buy, i would pick them too. Problem is i probably would have bought even more and then i lack the vision and ability to change things!! Oh how i struggle!! LOL 😂
Love the mirroed botanical
My mums friend worked her full life with photo developing she would know exactly what they are .
Look forward finding out what you do with them etc xxx
Another great haul! Happy Memorial Day!
I think the wooden boxes are for 🐝 bees.
GREAT VIDEO...
Those bottomless drawers are honey supers.
I would love to buy the wooden basket with the falconer on horse painted on it if you don't paint it. Thanks ❤ Dana
Y’all found some super interesting things this time.
Zeb is right. They are film plates.l used to use similar ones many, many years ago
Zeb, we have a 1800s upright grand piano. My mom refinished it and it is in fantastic shape. If you pay for shipping you can have it!
Amazing haul !!! Jaime looks a lil different can't figure it out ? Zeb looks the same cute ! Love Love everything you both bought 😊❤
Great haul....
Loving the yard sales and Goodwill. Awesome haul.
Gold frames like we have in the South. But great finds.
I would put film cases on eBay and let them ride, they will sell !
I thunk the pine "frames" are actually bee frames. The "super" that holds the honeycomb frames.
Get the Jim Beam turkey bottle!
Hi guys. From California
Are the boxes without bottoms soap molds? They look like what I’ve seen some soap makers on TH-cam using. I just love seeing y’all’s videos. You always seem to have fun together, that’s nice to see! ❤
🌞🌞🌞
I’m wondering if the mercury glass frames might have older prints under the ones currently in there, they are pretty too but often those frames had art deco prints originally. Any thing related to vintage film and cameras can be worth money good score on the film slides
❤
I think the bottomless boxes were made for bee hives? 😊 or not?
Suggestion, I saw on another channel where someone uses essential oil or dawn dish soap on the goodwill price tages to get them off easy. You put it on tags, let sit a while then take tags off. Repeat as needed.
I use lemon oil sometimes
Some of the prints look like Robert Duncan, who was very popular in the 90s, maybe. I think he was a local Utah artist, if I’m not mistaken. They could be worth something if they are by him.
I meant I am NOT a stalker
Just had to say, Jamie you look like a little girl in those overalls...❤
Bee skeps boxes?
When you under sell things it drops the price for anyone else selling them online.
When you undersell your items I buy, because I only purchase. It’s not about a profit for me. It’s difficult to find items because of the enormous growth of resellers.
I actually think they’re X-ray frames. They would X-ray, the film couldn’t be xposed. So they took them to the dark room that way
