You're an amazing teacher mate - got my first proper electric for XMAS and this is the first song I'm learning and it's like magic. Might I just suggest you put a notice or something up at the start of the video warning about the tuning issues, as I was really confused until I compared with the original recording!

Awesome lesson mate 👌🏻 practiced this for about an hour earlier, it’s a lot to get my head round but I’m getting there, fantastic lesson! I solved the problem of tuning by simply dropping the capo down a fret. Worked like a charm! Also thanks for the shout, glad to be a part of the Patreon!
Sam! Hello! Great to hear from you mate, gotta have big respect for my VIP community haha! I'm so sorry about the tuning issue, I had honestly no idea until you guys mentioned it was sounding quite right, I honestly filmed so much before putting it together I didn't realise the tuning had slipped with the capo! Really hope it didn't affect the lesson I don't want to make half arsed crap haha! But all the same really glad you enjoyed it :D looks like I'll be working on Made Of Stone next thanks to you haha!

Hey James, thats great can't believe you've nailed the first album haha! By the looks of things I'll be doing an in depth study on Made Of Stone next which should be interesting haha, again I apologise about the tuning issues hopefully it didn't affect the lesson too much, honestly I did so many takes of it all i'm not surprised it went out a little with the capo haha, I was none the wiser until people mentioned it here!
Ant's Guitar Tutorials Don’t stress the tuning mate, all good. Bought a Roses tab book a while ago, but only using when I get stuck by ear. So your lessons, the tab book and (most importantly just listening and transcribing) have been my hobby for the last few months getting it all down. I love how you can see his playing really evolve from the earliest recorded tracks (which aren’t the same as album order necessarily) to the later ones which get really funky e.g. Resurrection outtro). I’ve started on Second Coming which is another leap forward again, but very different stylistically. I actually think his best playing is between those two albums, around the Fools Gold era. A real synthesis of pop, funk, rock and dance. Anyway mate, love the videos and your approach. Have subscribed on your Patreon so no doubt I’ll chip in on your “next song” votes. Thanks again!

Hi ant, thanks a lot for this tutorial been waiting on a perfect one like this. just one thing, what would you recommend to help out perfect that tuning. it sounds like on my guitar i'm at least half a step down and the tone is just off. ( i am playing on 2nd fret capo ) thanks 🙏
Hey Nathan!! Thanks so much much it's so great to hear I'm helping you dial it in, that being said i'm really sorry about the tuning issues, honestly I had no idea until after, I filmed so much I didn't even realise the tuning slipping! I was talking to a few of the others about it, I think the best solution is to just drop the capo down to the 1st fret, where it's an issue that only a few strings are slightly sharp or flat it's never going to be perfect, another idea is just to take in the information and then pause the lesson and play it, let me know how you get on!!

Hey gang! Couple of things, I've just noticed the aspect ratio is slightly wrong will try and correct this! Also it's been brought to my attention that at times some of the higher strings go slightly sharp or flat!! I think because of the sheer number of takes I did for this after some time it altered a bit (especially for the intro) haha, are you finding an issue with this? because if it's impacting the lesson I can delete this and make a new one for you!
Ant's Guitar Tutorials lesson still excellent, just using capo on 1 then when playing to record back up to 2. Thanks a million for doing this tutorial. Got to say it, the one stone roses song doing my head in now is ‘standing here’. So subtle, I can’t get it
@@seanlowe6092 thanks for that Sean! Really appreciate your words I was pretty worried about it when people started mentioning it, don't want to give you half arsed content!! Ill leave it up for the moment if people are irritated by it I'll just re do the whole thing haha! Yeah the biggest issue I have with their material is that all of John Squires guitar work is so low in the mix it's almost not even there, it's such a pain to figure out sometimes haha, looks like the next song is gonna be Made Of Stone, you'll want to strap in for that one !

Hey Ant are you in standard tuning. I’m in standard tuning, all tuned up and it’s not matching with the fingerings. I’ve definitely got the same fingerings as you though. I don’t know if you’re in a different tuning or there’s something I’m missing? Cheers love the lessons
Hey mate! I'll tell you what when I put the capo on it might have sharpened or flattened some of the higher strings slightly I bet! From what I can tell I think the main part which is affected by this is the introduction!

Ant's Guitar Tutorials at the beginning I could kind of move my fingers down a fret each to match up but when you take your finger off at the G string at 3:04 it does kind of get a little tricky to have the same sound, same goes with the main riff with the a g and d shapes at about 4:03.
I’m not that knowledgeable of a player so there might be ways around it I don’t know about or I have a bad ear or something. All your lessons are top notch and have massively helped me so don’t worry about it. It’s up to you, maybe see what other people say as well.

Hey kurt! I had a nightmare with this one, I was using new software when I made this vid and the pitch was set to 48Hz instead of 44Hz so it’s slightly out! I’m trying to work out a way of getting around this!

No matter what I do it doesn’t sound right. It just sounds out of tune. I tuned my guitar about 10 times.
