I went to the Volcanos of Costa Rica and swam in the hot springs heated naturally by the volcanos. It's in the "Central" part of the country with Ocean west and Sea to the East where there are lots of Papaya trees.

Wow! This is by far the best video of Costa Rica that I've seen! I think there is too much emphasis on Costa Rican beaches by other youtubers and while they look nice they pale in comparison to other locations like the Philippines, Hawaii, or Seychelles. Even Australia has some spectacular beaches with amazing blue or turquoise water that are simply on a class of their own. This video showed some very beautiful places to see in Costa Rica that stand out on their own much better than the local beaches.

I am loving those slow motion waterfall shots and whenever you have some foliage in the foreground. This camera really does up the game, huh?! Sweet video! I really want to stay at that spa resort. It's like a hidden getaway. Makes me think if Ferngully was a real place, lol.

Steph those animals are called Coatis. Kind of like their version of a raccoon.
We have regular racoons too.
It’s actually the south american version of raccoons and here in Costa Rica they happen to overlap so yeah, we have both.

Sooooo super awesome!! Thank you for sharing! You solidified my decision to stay at the villas! I screamed with joy when you showed them as your choice!! I’m starting the beginning of my trip in May for my birthday (Solo) in Uvita where I made reservations at the Golden Pineapple! It looks absolutely amazing and perfect for just me!!! I’ve been scouring the web for accommodations in CR.
As someone turning 48 .. roughing it is not my idea of having a relaxing vacation at this point in my life. I’m definitely too old to stay at a bunk bed hostel with just netting (maybe) around the bed and maybe a box fan ! I’ll leave that to the younger explorers!! But I also don’t want to break the bank on a place to stay! At $450 a night for 3 nights at the Golden Pineapple that’s my trip splurge. Round trip tickets flying Delta only cost $300 from Florida... 3 nights at the Villas Calas will wrap my trip up nicely!! I chuckled when you swam up to the bar!! I did something similar in the outdoor jacuzzi in St. Maartin at the Hilton (which I was not staying) I kinda just stumbled on the open location walking on the beach. No one bothered to ask me anything Ha! I made sure to buy a drink and some items from the gift shop as well so I wouldn’t feel like I was taking advantage of the Hilton family! Lol!
As a world traveler I’ve learned to blend in, wherever it is that you may be! ;)
And lastly you answered ALL of the questions I had especially about the temperature! So glad to know the blankets and fireplace did the job! Sounds perfect!!
Oh btw ? How was travel time to SJO and by chance did you go to Del Toro waterfall?? As a Taurus that is a MUST visit for my trip!

My wife to be and I are travelling to Costa Rica in march for our honey moon. We are both huge outdoors people and love nature, animals, and a great new adventure. We would love to have a plan of all the wonderful parks, excursions , hikes etc.. that Costa Rica has to offer. Of course a route so we aren't back tracking. We land in San Jose and leave from there as well. If you could kindly give us the names of the best parks, and names of the accommodations (cheap) I would greatly appreciate it. I cant seem to find the cabin you stayed at in La Paz.

I got married there.. Swimmjng prohibited??? I swam in the water at the first waterfall, the other waterfalls down the walk are dangerous to swim besides the water is freezing.. The climate is very comfortable and cool in altitude. Also there are more than one hot tub free at La Paz to enjoy. Go to the one by the trout pool. They are glad to bring you drinks or lunch by the pool too. La fortuna is hours away from La Paz. You won't want to do both these trips in one day however one in each day is totally doable. Very nice video and great info.
