I love vixx for being the trend setters, not followers of popular concepts. They're not doing concepts for popularity, they're creating concepts to push their limits as artists. They are the reason why most concepts are existing today, they pushed kpop's boundaries and thanks to them newer groups are able to do such concepts. Plus they did things considered forbidden for kpop. They used traditional music while everyone was saying hanbok=trot music, they had a bdsm concept when everyone was saying it's impossible in kpop, they did horror concepts despite people warning them and all of this hard work made them kings of concepts.
I also noticed VIXX love using reflections and contrast in their concepts, nearly all songs have two polar opposite sides in the song or the performance. In Hyde mv they wear white and black suits as good jekyll and bad hyde, in the same way in hyde choreography there are three hyde members: ravi, leo and hongbin and three jekyll members: hakyeon, ken and hyuk (they even wear black and white suits in one performance) and the whole dance looks like reflection of good and bad sides. In scentist they are separated in two as hakyeon and taek sides and they face each other many times during the whole choreo like reflections on a mirror. In eternity the intro and the end are symmetrical for left and right side. Also in beautiful liar there is two sides: the outside look leo who sacrifices his own happiness for others and the narcissistic inside feelings ravi who rather hurt others to be happy. Whisper is also same, there are two sides blue and red. This seemed interesting for me I didn't notice they use two sides that much before but now when I look at songs it's obvious.

Before me being a 🌟light I admired their concept building through the outfit ,make up, choreography, their voice the parts. Voodoo actually impressed me so much ❤😍
I remember in one of the earliest vixxtv when initially they were seeing success and they saw figurine and photo card merchandise they were so confused. They literally said don't buy it; don't waste your money. Used to be the time when albums were not performative in any way. Then onwards we had those amazing albums and merch. Now I'm nostalgic. Gotta go and binge some vixx
I forgot whether it's in Daydream or Lost Fantasia, when they sang inside their personal boxes (?), the light and VCR showed their respective birth stone and I think it's super cool
Your channel reignited my love for VIXX!! Their concepts are truly amazing, even if you don't dig deep into them, you can notice there's a lot of hard work behind their songs
the analysis section on hyde was rlly great, i also wanted to add that they further exemplified the hyde/jekyll concept by releasing both gr8u and hyde on the jekyll album, two title tracks that strongly juxtapose each other and bolster the duality concept they had going on - the fact that they were able to execute this in the track list of all things is astounding
Im Starlight since 2016 , and i actually knew their every concept because I used half of my day watching every details in their MVs and seriously I just can't neglect their concepts like never cause they are always in my mind and i think they deserve every awards for their all songs
