  • I drove by this church as the roof was getting installed and pulled in to scope it out. There are a few BIG lessons here that will help you pitch large commercial roofs, church roofs, and other big projects.
    DISCLAIMER: After making this video, I returned to the job site and saw that the crew had paused for a service at the church. They did an EXCELLENT job during install. Kudos to whoever sold this job ;) It was a monster! I blurred out all private info to maintain privacy for the company who landed this whale.

    I love this because I told my trainer recently that I want to specialize in church’s. Church’s are beautiful and you rarely see a small roof on them!

      They are a BIG opportunity my dude! Great to hear it . I did an onsite training for a company who had 1 guy chased mainly Churches and did quite well! (In addition to his residential "bread and butter" that is).

    Adam great information! A lot of people don’t realize the amount of logistics that go into keeping a project safe as well as the proper planning behind it I agree with you that using that information and that you will be on site especially for commercial job is a huge benefit with negotiations as well as using instances like this and unsafe practices of other companies to your advantage for marketing when you may be working against a competitor for a commercial job. Keep up the great work man love all the info you put out there I will say you are one of the ones that helped me a lot when I first got going having just started my own personal roofing company this year I am looking forward to being able to get your battle pack Very soon just haven’t been able to swing it yet much love from North Carolina!

      Titus, so glad to help man and it's exciting to see you starting your own company! Yes, I agree. The details I explain in this video separate the "men from the boys" so to speak. A large property, church, or commercial building has very specific needs for the installation. If you don't address them, you will look very "amateur" in the eyes of the prospect in comparison to the next contractor who addresses these major concerns and has a plan.

    Hey Adam got your sales strategy training and its amazing. Just curious when would you say is the best time to go canvass?

    • @TheRoofStrategist
      @TheRoofStrategist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      GREAT question. This a complex answer. Simple answer: M-F 3-7 and Sat/Sun 10-3. Complex answer -- ALWAYS. Because every neighborhood is different and it's your job to "get a pulse" on the neighborhood differences. Example: I worked one neighborhood in the mornings because it was FILLED with retirees and stay-at-home parents. So I spent my mornings there. The next neighborhood had a lot of kids, so parents were picking them up from school and getting home about 3:30. So I worked those during that time. Then other neighborhoods may be more blue collar or shift workers -- hit those about 5. Other areas have more "white collar" or desk job folks living there working the traditional 9-5 so they aren't getting home until about 6ish. So always get out, go knock, and take notes. Spend your time in the RIGHT neighborhood during the RIGHT time.
