Roller skate bearings are small components that allow roller skates to turn, spin and rotate on the axle of the wheel. They're essential in preventing metal from grinding on metal within the wheel, making them an important part of your skates, especially if you're skating competitively. If your wheel bearings start to sound a bit off - it may be that you need to remove and clean them.

If you have the skate tool (the first he showed to screw the wheels of), just use the little tool that is extra in there on the top, with one side you can just pop them out of the wheel. Just found that out after hammering on them for a while 🙈🤪

Friend...That Bones tool is great...I would like to have one, but can’t find one for less than a king’s ransom. Any suggestions as to where I can get one for less than 20$$ US ?
Ok so I have a bones bearing tool as well and when I tried to use it to get my bearings out it would just slip out... it’s like the little balls wouldn’t lock/weren’t strong enough to allow me to pull out the bearing. Is it possible it was because it was on luminous wheels that have that magnet in the middle?
Omg yes, taking out 16 bearings is tiring!!! I didn't have one of these tools and used my axle... some of them were easy to take out, some I successfully turned diagonal but the bearings were still in my wheel! so YES I'm looking into getting one of these, so I don't sweat and stress myself out when changing my bearings lol
I have a rather specific question. I got a bunch of roller skate wheels, but the type with a LED-light in them. They have a little mechanism in the center of the wheel that makes them light up. Whenever I put the bearing tool into the wheel to remove or adjust the bearings, the little balls on the tool (or the hooks, whatever you call them) don't come shooting out because of the pressure from the light-up mechanism. It pushes the hooks back into the tool. So basically, it renders the tool useless... What should I do?
i have this tool but it just keeps popping out without removing the bearing. i have pretty grimy bearing what do you suggest

Heya! thanks for this. I tried turning my wheel while using the tool but some of my bearings are still stuck. Same set of wheels, same set of bearings... but for some reason, a couple of these just feel impossible to remove. Any other tips or suggestions?

With the skates I got, the bearings fit, but do not stick to the inside of the wheels like they do on my other outside wheels. Idk if that is supposed to happen PLEAS HELP I can't find anything about this online.
You don't need the bearings tool. You can rock/swivel them out against the truck axles. 🙂

You can just put it on the actual axle and pull at an angle
Just wondering are spacers between the bearings a necessity??
I've seen some people with spacers but when I purchased skates for my son there were no spacers between the bearings

Omg, Most people who are looking to find out how to takeoff bearings don’t have that fucking tool. Why else would we be looking up TH-cam videos on how to remove them? I just don’t understand how anyone could think that showing a TH-cam tutorial on how to remove some thing with a very specific tool that is needed in order to remove it is helpful. Yeah if I had the tool to do so I would not be looking this up on TH-cam
Just say you can't afford the tool and call it a day you spend countless amount of money on junk food save 2 trips and boom you have money 😒
