Balto I think is based on call of the wild by jack london, it was a book before it was a movie and the movie balto was likely based off of call of the wild a bit.
@@ZenakeMoonshine Nah Balto is based off of a true story but I guess they could've used some scenes similar to Call of the wild if it was a book way before the movie Balto came out.
@@pearl.editsYT I wouldn't say wayy before, but I'm fairly certain Balto came out after Call of the wild so it could be lightly based because Balto wasn't the dog who brought the medication to the people, that was the other dog Togo, Balto only took credit from Togo who actually made the long journey to bring the medicine back but because he took the last 10 miles he was named the hero. Still a good movie though

I definitely agree as well, it could have been based slightly, either way though both are lovely stories and they bring a very nice ending.
When I started watching the Call Of The Wild I started to notice some references between Balto and Buck. Balto and Buck have a lot more in common than they think, besides being both part dog and part wolf.
If we look at the similarities between the two. I'd say buck could be balto's father. We never meet baltos dad in the movie. But we learn in the second movie that balto's mother was a white wolf. Buck falls in love and has a litter of puppies with a white wolf. It's not to far off to assume this, as it would explain Balto's half-wolf heritage, as well as his enate talent as a lead sled dog. And his loyalty an devotion to please people despite being an outcast. The parallel between these two characters is interestingly similar.
@@abbytheredwolf174 There are many versions of Call of the Wild. But take is the newest one, came out in 2020 and stars Harrison Ford. It's this buck that is being compared to the 1995 animated movie's Balto.
