You're to young to deal with this crap. You have enough life experience from "Caroline" to last you lifetime. You handled it with grace and dignity. I'm glad everything eventually worked out for you ❤️
Not to excuse this, but your roommate very obviously needs psychological help. Being a messy person is one thing, but this wasn't laziness, this was someone with deep psychological problems.
Yooo... That is straight-up *TRAUMATIZING* like if I was in your situation that time, I would have my anxiety and panic attacks at its peak; Good thing you were brave, good for you ; - ; I would've died
This story is so comforting. I'm going through a really similar situation, I'm a freshman in college, and I ended up in a triple. One of my roommates moved out after a month, and she stole a bunch of stuff. The other one always brags about getting in physical fights and having all of these mental disorders. She yells at me a lot for things that other people have told me aren't a big deal. She doesn't clean. She has this guy over all the time, even though I've said I'm uncomfortable having him in my space. She talks badly about people all the time and complains to me for hours. She expects me to take care of her even though she makes me very scared. I've developed severe anxiety, but I am trying to get a new rooming situation.
Advice to all college students…..do your research and make sure that your roommates are going to be others that you can live harmoniously with for the year…..ive had my own personal experiences when it comes to roommates and all i can say is that if you are going to live with other people, make sure that they are people that you can live with…..with respect and considerstion for your other roommates!!! Respect is key and setting boundaries from the beginning is so crucial!!!
So glad you got out of that situation, I hope you’ve been able to work through what happened and have gotten help if you needed it. I’ve had some “interesting” roommate experiences too. Specifically with roommates where I felt I was walking on eggshells constantly. I have some memory problems, and need my current roommate to help me to remember to take care of dishes and the trash, but I can’t believe leaving dishes and trash out in shared space for three months!
This just made me feel like I want to clean my apartment right now and made me so grateful that I'm living alone and I can keep my things nice and clean the way I want to
i mean caroline had serious mental health issues going on that's for sure. and some mental illnesses make people not take care of themselves at all, that girl needed real PROFESSIONAL help. of course they used her stuff and that was so unnecessary, if you're not gonna clean at least use your own things.
I know apartments are more costly than dorms, but there is no chance for any of that piling up in a dorm room. I had the best roommate and she and I would never make any messes. And we always went to eat in the cafeteria.
This is a video that I keep coming back to. These roommate horror stories remind me of how lucky I am that I don’t have a roommate, especially this one. This “Caroline” was crazy
Girl, I would've cleaned and packed my stuff and straight up leave as soon as I came home to trash bags everywhere Edit: not even clean my stuff (dishes and stuff like that) just leave it there since they wanna use em so bad
I'm so sorry you had to deal with that whole mess! To be honest, you deserve all the love and respect and the messiness and other stuff was so unnecessary. In all, glad you are doing better and are happier :)

I moved in with my boyfriend super quickly and I’m SO glad I got lucky with his cleaning habits. I didn’t know what I was signing up for and I’m glad I didn’t end up moving in with someone who lives like this

This is video definitely helped me feel not so alone in my roommate horror stories. I have been housed with psychologically disturbed individuals in the past from college dorms and I have experienced very bad things. This helps me process my feelings a bit.
I know a lot of people are saying “oh my god she’s so crazy“ and “wow I’m so sorry you had to deal with this“ etc.… But while these comments align with my opinion, I also think that the amount of trauma that this girl has gone through two become this type of person has to be absolutely astounding. I’ve known several people like this myself.
7:00 a neighbor where I'm living does the exact same thing. constantly slamming things down or opening/shutting drawers, random squeals and screams and yelled phrases (never the same thing), if I make a noise, she makes a noise, never stops talking, never seems to leave her unit for food or work/class (because I can hear her talking at all hours of the day/night)...

honestly if i walked into my bathroom that i shared with a girl who i knew at that point to be unstable and saw blood all over the walls and floor, i would’ve just called the police and have them handle it. worst case scenario, ur apartment turns into a crime scene with the roommate being the murderer. best case, the roommate maybe gets a good scare and learns her lesson.
If I got to the point and heard her screaming like that, I would honestly grab my bag, stuff all my things in it as quickly as possible, grab my cat, call my mom or dad, and legit runaway.

We discovered later from her family that my roommate was actually going through a schizophrenic / manic episode! Maybe that’s what happened in your situation as well??

So sorry this happened to you. you were doing the best you could even at 17 years old and no one deserves to deal with what you dealt with and went through. Hope you're doing well now
The silent roommate was in on it I bet. You can't tell me that they sat together using this girl's dishes, watched her clean up after them, without discussing their awful behavior and laughing about how they are driving the girl insane. Those girls were talking for sure.
Girl, after the dirty dishes situation I would of threatened her to kick her out if she continued. I would of been like “if you wanna stay here you have to do your part, you can’t smoke or vape here. Or you can pack up your stuff and leave” and if she still didn’t listen I would of taken her stuff out myself while she was out of the house and kicked her out. I’m sorry you had to go through all that. I hope you had better experiences after that 😊
Hi Victoria!! I’m not currently in college, I’m currently 24. When I was 20-21 I moved into a dorm room . This would be my first year , in a dorm . My roommates (4 of us ) we did not click. I’m sorry about what you went through at 17.
That reminds me of my grandpa. The family issue comment. My mom walked in after our older friend died and we had been with her. He asked how her day was and she said “been a little rough.” And he replied with “well, I’m sure someone else is having a much worse day than you.” 😐

Oh my days just from the description and intro I had to check your accent again cus I know an almost same story but in the UK! Living with a bunch of girls can bring out the worst in people though unfortunately.
you literally stopped vaping just for your roommate whom you barely talked with..! you are such a great friend.. my 2 roommates literally put me into trouble by complaining shits about me to the senior and this made my hostel life MISERABLE!! once one of the roommate fell off the stairs, broke a flower pot and a leg and got ill, i didn't sleep till 3 in the morning just to check if she was okay or needed something, and this is what i got in return.. actually your hostel life is depended on the type of roommate you get.. if we would be rommies, i bet we would turn best friends within a month...
I am surprised they did not call her parents and say something and file a complaint with the school and the apartment complex over the situation. I almost been tempted to get called to a psych ward or tell the school nurse of what was happening.
I can relate, I had a roommate who NEVER cleaned up after himself. But that was it other than that he was a cool guy. Sounds like your situation was straight out of a nightmare

When she says almost the exact date you know somethings about to go down lol
I am so sorry you had to deal with that. I unfortunately also dealt with roommates that did what you described in your video. I had to skip through some parts because it was all so reminding. We will always be traumatized but we are strong.
So sorry this happened to you. you were doing the best you could even at 17 years old and no one deserves to deal with what you dealt with and went through. Hope you're doing well now
Enjoyed the story girl💕want more storytimes!
I’m glad you enjoyed!! I’ll be sure to film more
Dam the silent roommate didn't wanted any part of this drama
Honestly kudos to her
Also God you didn't deserve to go through that
The silent roommate was in on it I bet. You can't tell me that they sat together using this girl's dishes, watched her clean up after them, without discussing their awful behavior and laughing about how they are driving the girl insane. Those girls were talking for sure.
@@buckrogers6378 I don’t think think so
She even said the silent roommate didn’t play any role in the story
No the silent one was just as bad, she also refused to clean up.
@@tomxzen1834 * clean other people place* imagine being the third person would you personally like to be involved
She said so herself, clean your ears.
I hope you had better experiences after that 😊
You handled this so maturely!
Dang girl, what a terrible situation!! I don't miss my roommate days AT ALL.
Hi Victoria!!
I’m not currently in college, I’m currently 24. When I was 20-21 I moved into a dorm room . This would be my first year , in a dorm . My roommates (4 of us ) we did not click.
I’m sorry about what you went through at 17.
This is off topic but lunchbox is such an adorable name ❤️
this is too scary ... hatsoff to you to handle everything calmly
That reminds me of my grandpa. The family issue comment. My mom walked in after our older friend died and we had been with her. He asked how her day was and she said “been a little rough.” And he replied with “well, I’m sure someone else is having a much worse day than you.” 😐
I binge watch so many roommate stories this is THEE WORST. Poor girl you were only 17.
That’s why I don’t wanna go to college because of this it’s scary to live alone with out your parents sorry I am 22 I still live with my mom
I know it seems scary but I have learned so much from living away from home :)
@@VictoriaMcNallyX i have anxiety without my mom sounds crazy enough I know but I can do things alone but I can’t stand not being alone without days at a time
im about to move to cstat as a sophomore and live in a similar situation . this makes me so nervous, i’m just doing random roommate matching too. I hope its not bad like this omg
DONT DO IT
Oh my days just from the description and intro I had to check your accent again cus I know an almost same story but in the UK! Living with a bunch of girls can bring out the worst in people though unfortunately.
you literally stopped vaping just for your roommate whom you barely talked with..! you are such a great friend.. my 2 roommates literally put me into trouble by complaining shits about me to the senior and this made my hostel life MISERABLE!! once one of the roommate fell off the stairs, broke a flower pot and a leg and got ill, i didn't sleep till 3 in the morning just to check if she was okay or needed something, and this is what i got in return.. actually your hostel life is depended on the type of roommate you get.. if we would be rommies, i bet we would turn best friends within a month...
when everyone starts refusing to do dishes, its time to remove your cookware from their reach, and buy yourself some disposable cookware.
i was imagining how this would be in my head it is so scary like bruhh how you deal with this!
I am surprised they did not call her parents and say something and file a complaint with the school and the apartment complex over the situation. I almost been tempted to get called to a psych ward or tell the school nurse of what was happening.
I just gotta say props to you that you dealed with this for so long
I can relate, I had a roommate who NEVER cleaned up after himself. But that was it other than that he was a cool guy. Sounds like your situation was straight out of a nightmare
This needs more attention!!!
Idk how college students like being in a dorm. I hate sharing rooms with my sisters. I can't imagine sharing rooms with a stranger. I'm a junior in college and I love being home after school.
And this is why I am getting a singles dorm when I leave for college next year
