This is incredibly exciting! Still listening. Slope, 12, slotted, burst would have my dream, too! Can't wait to hear it! Blessing to Acoustic Shoppe and JP for all of his signature models.
I repeatedly watch JP's videos about the Yamaha LL series. I have an LL16 and it's fantastic. Alvarez are great guitar makers I think I'm going to dive into them with both feet
I also have an LL16, one of the greatest values ever. I gave it to a 40 yr. NYC famous luthier for closer set up, "Dang, Sean, that's a nice guitar." I told him what it cost, he didn't believe me.
Very entertaining and informative as always 🤩 The sustain on that guitar is awesome. I owned a K Yairi some years ago, it had a regular style bridge. I believe it was made for the domestic Japanese market. These turn up here in Australia from time to time. That was a nice guitar. It had laminated back and sides.
I was at the K Yairi factory at Gifu on Sep 19 Thursday unfortunately I did not read Japanese n they only have a factory tour on Saturday!! Fortunately they took me upstairs to the showroom n I saw most all the guitars they made n spent my time playing n salivating over them. They would not ship the guitar if I bought one!! I walked up the hill with my wife n daughter from the train station so I did not want to carry a guitar with me to Tokyo . Yairi’s daughter when she saw us out the office n realize we were going to walk that way back to the station had the company van drive us back to the train station which I’m very thankful for the heat n humidity is dreadful. I do own two Yairi, a 1986 Dy 75 with a regular bridge and a 2003 DYM 95c Aura with a Fishman built in . I will try writing to order a K Yairi ❤🎸🎸🎸☮️ RIP K Yairi
I'm guessing that not many of this model will be made with the old growth mahogany. Chris Meikle had said that they will run out of it this year(2024). They will still be using mahogany but it won't be from the 50 year old batch that is being used for the original Honduran series.
I’ve been watching J.P for many years, even though I don’t listen to his music. I just respect him as an artist. The thing that struck me most in this video is the stark difference between the way artists and salespeople view guitar brands. This guitar sounds absolutely stunning; I’m only sorry it’s a dreadnaught and not a 000 shape.
Is that responsiveness and quality of tone when played with a light touch a feature of the twelve fret body joint, or the shorter scale? Or some other aspect of its construction?
The guitar on the left is standard 14 fret dread. Notice the bridge location, and then look at the bridge location of JP’s 12 fret. You’ll see the 12 fret moves the bridge further into the lower bout of the guitar. This bridge placement should make the guitar top more responsive.
Using a strap while seated puts the instrument in the correct position for his body; If he were to stand from a seated position, the guitar would be exactly in the same place relative to his body. He does not always use one in his own videos, but I am guessing he always uses a strap when he plays live shows.
To my knowledge Yairi has their own bracing system called FST6 bracing. Compared other styles of bracing they've done, their newest system uses lighter braces to make the guitars more responsive. Other than that, I don't know the bracing material, it is forward-shifted. Hope this helps!
JP absolutely is still using his Boucher and Boucher JP signatures are still being made. JP just has a great relationship with multiple builders and has a couple other signature models, each with their own tone and twist on his style!
@@gair1944 I don't think that he did but he probably should have. I believe he played with chet and new him on a personal level. He is a monster player and as versatile as they come and a master on multiple instruments. He's C.G.P. in my book but hey, what do I know..
Be careful not to make a mistake with the same name -made guitar made in Korea. They steal and produce Yairi guitar's ideas(It’s sold by imitating the characteristic direct coupled bridge of this model.). Yairi guitar's craftsmen are always annoying for inquiries🤦🏻♂️ All Yairi guitars are produced in Japan. thanks from🇯🇵🙇
Cormier is one if the best in celtic guitar i have ever heard.
"Regal" was a great description. Lovely sounding guitar. JP always entertains.
Thanks!

I would love you guys to re-do the Boucher JP Signature review in this same format with JP himself. Great review as always!!!
We think alike! 😉

The LL16 is an awesome value, Alvarez has some models right there too! Looking into one is great, doesn't hurt to build the collection!
John sounds really great on this demo. Good job at Alvarez!
That guitar sounds like a Steinway grand. What a magnificent lower end the minute you hit that thing I couldn’t believe the sound.
15 minutes into the video and I realized the guitar has a pickguard. Wonderful craftsmanship and the sound is simply incredible.
Alvarez and Yairi does a great clear pick guard that I love

Always good casual tunes, well done
Sounds great! JP can make anything sound great if we are being honest but those builders build some works of art.
My word, What a guitar.
I have an Alvarez AD66SHB Mahogany Top Dreadnought with African Mahogany back and sides. I love the sound and feel of this all Mahogany guitar.
What an amazing guitar for an amazing guitarist Mr jp
I have an Alvarez 1965 Anniversary Model ARDA Slope Shoulder Model. I love it.
If i could i would definitely look into this guitar. Dig thec12 fret and slotted head stock! And sounds amazing

That's incredible, thanks for sharing! We're honored we can offer them in our shoppe, it's a great company!
Recently found the brand Alvarez in a pawn shop never heard of them before they sound really nice
I think you guys have be practicing! 😛

Will it be available without the cutaway?
I don't think so because this is a signature model

JP I have a question. In many of youe videos you play with a guitar strap. Do you always use one and why. Thank you Sir

Swiss army knife built by Rolls Royce- love it.

@@AcousticShoppe thanks I'll look into it further
Will there also be an OM version?
I don't believe so, at least there's no plans right now.
Where can I buy one???
These models are not released yet, but you can Pre-Order here at The Acoustic Shoppe! Phone -417-720-1223 | Email - info@theacousticshoppe.com
No more JP Cormier Boucher signature guitar?

@@AcousticShoppe Great! He's such a good ambassador for guitar makers and a great player!
Exactly! It's awesome so many companies want to support him!
I thought Dom DeLouise was dead. Didn't know he played guitar too.
Cannot find the guitar anywhere. I knew it was a joke
This guitar is not yet released.
J.P. is "C.G.P."....
Did Chet pass that along to him? If not, he sure is worthy

Sounds very good but a Dreadnought with a bite from a great white shark...? ;-)
Not for me.
The branding game is tricky,$3800?Really?

blew taylor and all others
OM????? Gonna make an OM?
Since it's a 12-fret it would be more of a OOO shape I believe and unfortunately no. It looks like Yairi doesn't have any 12-Fret OM's (OOO).
