    Just a quick tip with regards to the ARP-L19 Studs. ARP Website says to use gloves when installing as touch with your bare hands can cause them to rust and corrode and void your warranty !

    • @arengineering1801
      @arengineering1801  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice tip on pressurising the oil system before first start. What did you use to pump the oil through?

    • @arengineering1801
      @arengineering1801  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A fluid pump from harbor freight. It takes about 2 minutes for the oil to to reach the lifters. Thanks for watching.

    When you took the engine out, can you leave the transmission in? And then you said you were gonna drop the transmission. Can you take one out while leaving the other in? I’m going to be doing something similar to my own Mitsubishi.

    Just a heads up you might want to consider adding an oil pressure sensor relocating kit because of the length of the fittings you have coming off the oil filter housing can easily snap from vibration.

    • @arengineering1801
      @arengineering1801  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the suggestion. The fitting threaded in plenty and thr weight of the sensor did move since the fitting is sturdy, but it can fatigue over time.

    Hey man did you get a kit for the balance shaft delete? And what did it entail? Also you blocked off the coolant port on the block does the fp green not require to be coolant fed? Sorry for the questions this is just my first time rebuilding a 4g63 and my second dsm and I want it right lol

    • @arengineering1801
      @arengineering1801  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the balanced shafts were deleted. There are balance shaft eleimimator kits out there. Pop your old ones out and pop in the new bearing with the oil hole in the opposite direction. Google 4g63 balance shaft eleimimator kits and you'll find plenty of write ups. Eliminating the coolant port is up to you. It all depends on your application and I choose to not run it. Dsm tuners is a good place to find answers to all of your dsm/4g63 questions.

    Please, in my humble opinion do not use a brass fitting described at about 2.40 in the video I have had one break off at the block and pump all the oil out of the engine. I now use an oil pressure sender for my oil pressure gauge that is mounted remotely on a braided s/s hose.

    • @arengineering1801

      The deeper your pockets are the more horse power you can get haha. Forged internals, big turbo, sufficient fuel, and a proper tune will make 700hp. After that you'll need a built transmission and all of the goodies to sustain that type of power. DSM tuners forum is a great place to start planning and budgeting your gsx.

Slapped in a OEM composite gasket with ARP studs. Dropped oil pan and changed rods bolts with everything still in the block. He put the engine in his other racecar.
      That engine made over 600hp with about 30 low 10 second passes and was still going till he had an injector fail causing a melted piston from a lean condition. Lol.

    Hello my friend , I need your help , please!. Let's see , when I turn on my car ( Mitsubishi RVR sports gear x3, engine 4g63) the oil pressure is 80 psi for 0,8x1000 RPM (for 65°F). but when the engine starts to heat, the oil pressure drops to 0 psi (200°F). What can I do ????
    Note: my Metales are new.

    • @arengineering1801
      @arengineering1801  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's impossible to diagnose your real problem on here, because there are too many variables. It's not a performance upgrade, so any mechanic can diagnose the issue with diagnoses and calibration equipment. Maybe the pressure sensor is bad or something within the oil system is causing the pressure drop which is why someone needs to get there hands on it and assess it properly. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
