We speak with journalist Jeremy Scahill, co-founder of The Intercept, about how he just announced he is leaving after more than a decade and launched a new investigative journalism outlet Monday called Drop Site News, alongside colleague Ryan Grim. “What Ryan and I are trying to do is build a lean, sustainable, reader-supported news organization that’s going to take big swings at powerful people,” says Scahill. “Our pledge … is to be accountable to the readers, the viewers and the listeners.”

Thanks for mentioning Gary Webb, he gets overlooked all too often. Now I want to go watch Sh00t the Messenger again. He was a courageous, principled man.

Love Jeremy & Ryan Grim. Also just wonderful to see Amy beaming. I love how she's always so visibly proud of people she mentored.

Investigative journalism is really difficult for journalists. I feel there are many problems in ethical science, computer security, social heir-archies, financial greed, etc. that exist purely because people in power do not feel like they control the progress that could erase those problems for us.

Agreed. Glenn Greenwald jumped over the border and then crossed party lines, post-Snowden.
So hard to see truth through all layers of propaganda and bots now.

I would like to know what the main priority and criteria is for someone to choose a president for their country. His personal character, his meritocracy, the good things he has done, his political ideology, his good social and economic decisions for his country, in short, everything good that the candidate has done and intends to do for his country. Is that true? So my question to all of you, especially the leftists, what good has Joe Biden and his administrative team done and continue to do for the USA and its citizens since he took office as President of the USA? At least one good thing on the social or perhaps economic side, or on the security of its citizens, or on reducing homelessness, crime, drug addiction? Joe Biden has done nothing on this issue discussed above, nothing and nothing. He has destroyed and continued to destroy the USA and American dreams.
