I love overlanding. This is the kind of thing you do to get your mind right. There are actually studies in the psychology field that talk about the therapeutic effects of sitting around a campfire. I do it as often as I can. Looking forward to part 2.
This was fun. Would've loved to have seen the swamp at the end of the forest service road. I can't imagine turning around was an easy task with that trailer. Looking forward to part 2, thanks for sharing.
I tried to finish the cut from underneath, I had a bad feeling it was going to kick that's why I didn't do that the whole way. I'm pretty much a novice at wood cutting. When I was a kid I ran the splitter not the saw haha
When I was a teenager we would go camping out in the Jasper Pulaski park, there is/was a gun range and a fire tower. We would get up early and go climb up the fire tower to watch the sunrise, good times. We called those "silver dollar meals", hamburger, onion, potato, carrots, cheese and whatever else you had, hmm I miss camping, need to go out again some time soon.
I don’t get out enough either but that’s because we don’t have any dispersed camping in Iowa and honestly I hate campgrounds, so it’s ironic that I keep ending up at them on trips due to not finding a decent spot elsewhere lmao
Partial anyway. One had to work, one didn’t want to go, and the other one doesn’t even live here anymore sadly. Like I said at the beginning things are screwy right now 😐
Mackinaw Bridge makes alot of people nervous especially the Mesh see through road section at top. The State professional drivers upon request at toll gate will drive your vehicle and pasengers accross Bridge at NO extra charge and they drive anything Car Rv Semi truck trailer and any Motorcycle while Biker rides in chase car that follows and picks up State driver .
When overlanding, be careful if you go anywhere by Stuart Lake. There is a sanctuary spot up there. Can see it on 'data of sanctuary cities map' Not kidding.
He really enjoyed your video, congrats on the new bronco. I’m actually thinking of going up to the UP in about two weeks and then. then either to upper Wisconsin near Hayward or Bayfield
@@jr_jeep4470thanks. It’s ambers daily, I don’t think I could ever stomach that kind of a car payment. Heck it’s been 6 years since Ive even had a car payment 😅
Good times good vid i drove my friends new bronco and loved it not sure if the gladiator rubi should go for a bronco or not the bronco rides much nicer
@@justinhubbartt2243 i’m not a Ford guy but you can’t argue with how nice it was for trips like this. I never even considered airing down for comfort lol. It had 40 psi
Good thing it was super dark when you were lumberjacking. I'm pretty sure you did it wrong. 🤣😂

@@FlawedOffroad you’re not the only family. Our oldest boy left early also. Stuff happens.
the Bridge only closes when wind gets over 50 or so and when Ice falls off the cables, and Yes cars have gone over the side
