Didn't realize it was that easy to sell a boat! Confident that bloke came back at 4pm, congratulations!! Beautiful craft and great video as always, Thanks!
Fairline so far had been doing amazing work in the past years. Their boats are built beautifully and well thoughtout. Seems like they are built pretty well, considering the good engineering and design of the hull. This is just another example of their great work.
Great Vlog as usual James, love the boat, but I'm a bit of a fly bridge girl myself 🤣 not sure if the folk down below had their volume turned up, audio sounded fine to me. The interior of this boat is spectacular... quality ...I am loving Fairline more and more.
Are there any disadvantages to having a seakeeper? Other than the initial cost obviously, any ongoing costs? Maintenance? Loss of space in the engine room? Apologies for what may be a numpty question, I don’t know much about boats but from videos like this I’m slowly learning.
You lose a bit of space , they take 20 mins to spool 🧵 up - they require an annual service but otherwise they are fantastic and it transforms life onboard - especially at anchor 🍻
There seems to be 4 different drive systems for a boats. IPS, Shaft drive, Surface Drives, Jet Drives! Is cost a major factor? What are the advantages and disadvantages of various drives?
@@Boatscouk Why would you not want to fit IPS pods if the boat is going to use 30% less fuel? What are all the advantages and disadvantages of various drive options you can get for Motor Yachts. I would like to know before I order my Pershing X7 fitted with surface drives. LOL
@@gordonjohnston684 . I will answer on IPs because the answer is quick. It uses less fuel because there is less friction. There is less friction because the IPs boat is lighter and because more boat is out of the water . A lighter boat that is more out of the water can have less seamanship qualities 😉
Spoilt by the lack of standing room in the owners cabin. Otherwise, quite a decent boat for a £ million. Galeons have little to fear as competitors though.
Not your usual tour James, if I saw someone doing a video tour of a boat I would wait until they had finished before going aboard, some people have no manners and are totally rude! Going back to the boat, a lovely sleek lined Fairline GT!
Very nice. If I have a criticism (and I'm struggling, here) the cockpit table arrangement is a bit rubbish. I had the same thing on my 22 ft Sea Ray, which used to drive me mad because the table leg was always falling off - but it didn't cost me a million quid :)
Great boat James, there seems to be a problem with the camera, some things (you included) seem to have green patches, could be reaction to certain lights. Noticed same problem in some of your other videos.
You can't even stand fully upright in the main cabin of a £1m boat? Check out the Galeon 500 or an Absolute 50 that quite literally knocks the burger and chip socks off, of this boat. Not impressed with this one although I hear Danny Devito and Warwick Davis are thinking of going halves on this one.
😂 - you don’t just buy a boat on headroom. Seakeeping, build quality, ease of use etc are important. Also everything has a cost - High headroom gives higher centre of gravity which equals worse sea keeping. Every boat compromises something to give you something better elsewhere 😊
You did not test the shout window, is this a signal of some inherent design flaw!!!lol!!! Curious as to when we’ll see a 3 cabin, galley up one…..for an owner operator boat, it seems to me a galley up makes more sense as mom and dad want to be able to keep an eye on the kids!!!!! Also, being both dad and cook I don’t want to be in a hole, while everyone is upstairs and outside….and third, better to keep the smells of cooking upstairs rather than in the cabins….
How robust is the massive amount of glass down the side? Are there any circumstances when it would need to be replaced? Who can do it?...How much? I'd be a bit worried about that.
No no no and no again. Most boat builders have worked out that you need to move the galley up. Why would you want the cooking smells below when they are easily aired away from the upper deck. On this boat that is why there is so little head room in the cabins. Time to do a rethink Fairline.
When boating regularly - some customers find that they are on show when using a galley up boat. For example when you wake up in your pants in the morning and want a cup of tea- you have to quickly run for the curtain / blind. Everything is a compromise.
I never saw the sink in the galley or the frig / freezer. I'm not nitpicking. What happens if a family of four is having brekkie on the aft deck. Now all of a sudden there is a loud noise in the engine room or smoke and you need to get down in the engine room in a hurry. Or doing an engine check every hour. Then having to lift up the table top.
Watching this video a day ago, and thinking about the entire walk through. When a customer want's a first time boat. This is no time to let your heart dictate for you, because the boat is shiny. Find a guy that is sharp, long time boater. Talk to a few Captain's, pay them well and sit down and talk. We're talking serious money here and to have second thoughts in less than a year after buying the boat. I think some of the most sharpest boaters are the passage maker people. I can assure you. Passage makers don't buy a boat because the interior trim is high gloss. These buyers study and study at home for months before laying out serious money. comparing numbers. Come on now. A engine room hatch on the back deck. Sooner or later. Salt water along with fresh water will find it's way inside that's a given. Those two tubes for the aft table. It's flimsy and will eventually the tubes will become loser and loser. After riding my push bike across the continent of Australia twice. I feel that I can offer some new riders advice and hopefully save lots of money on equipment before setting off. This should hold true with people new to boating.
I know very little about boats, only what's on TH-cam, but this one looks like a poor choice to me, compared with Galeon 640, for example. Yes, the Galeon is around £1.5m, but it's 3 times the boat. Galeon 500 is close in price and way superior, inside and out.
Another great video. Your editing is getting far too good, no more staring at the camera for a second or so before continuing the tour. Once you start being distracted by trains and planes you'll be giving Nick a run for his money, maybe your thing is noisy trolleys.
You get what you pay for. It's a very cramped little boat, with very little wood and way too much white plastic, your eyes will hurt with all this white stuff.
Didn't realize it was that easy to sell a boat! Confident that bloke came back at 4pm, congratulations!! Beautiful craft and great video as always, Thanks!
It is not easy 😆
Comedy gold - along with Nick's glass bauble related incident on a Galleon of course.
Out of the water with the presenter standing next to it, you really get an idea of how big even a small boat like this really is.
Amazing boat guys, Fairline have really stepped up to the mark on quality.
Oh James, you didn’t get the fenders in?
You did try your best though, general public everywhere!😂😂
What about doing a live boat tour one day 👌🏻
Live - are you sure? 😂
James, awesome tour as usual. You were in rare form today. Good sense of humour and great patience.
A real head turner of a boat. Thanks
Cheers
Yes I was in a funny mood 😂

I 100% agree - very good quality
A stunning boat build by British manufacturer we should never be ashamed to shout it out loud

Was that a water maker? Lot of boat with premium finishes and you just can’t beat the IPS drive system.
No water maker - they tend to be on 65’ plus
Another fine video James & Dan great fun as always.
Love the videos and humor. You are the Ricky Gervais of boat videos.
😂
Lovely boat, thanks James, would definitely be a step up from my cap cam 9😀

There are also outdrives and outboards ! Wow that’s a big question - it could take a whole video 😉

We can fit a hi/ lo no worries 😉
Gorgeous, James. May need to add a 'tummy clearance' test to the 'floss test', tho'. Would love to visit you folks the next time we're over.
Whenever you want - we are open 7 days 😜

Hmm - filming on iPhone 13 pro. We will look into - thank you
That would make a great prize for subscribers ;)
Yes it would make a great prize 😆

Horses for courses as they say..... though this one's for a Shetland pony 🐎😂. Keep doing what you're doing, love your channel!
I’ve just watch it on my iPhone and quality seemed fine to me!?
Yes quality seems ok our end too - just my presentation is poor quality 😂
Really nice video as always. Could only have been made better if you had followed through with the ‘reverse shout’ -😊
😂
You often mention the escape hatch in Forward Cabin... Is there another was out of the Aft Cabins ??
Only on bigger boats
7:44 camera cut = head bump! Hope it didn't hurt :) I'm 6'4" and felt the pain!
Awesome boat but did the master cabin have no standing headroom??!!
Yes at foot of bed - quite normal
Oye, Jim! No kidding like a 6th sense I have I foresaw there would be another video today! And, needless to say, the 🧦 are flawless as per👌
I love these socks

Nice boat. If I had £10m I would certainly consider it.
It’s only £1m 😂
Great video! 🤙🏻
Right I’ll have one , can you arrange a marina for me , my cheques in the post 👍
I can collect the cheque to speed it up ?

Never had side windows go on any Modern boat yet 😉
I like your running!!!! Bad and sad but funny🤣
One good thing is enough for me 😂
Great content, new sub from sweden
Thank you Mr Burns 🥳
Should have clipped your mic up at collar, could hardly hear you :-(
Sounds ok to me - if I move mic up - it’s too loud even on the lowest setting - I must be doing something wrong 😑
Must be your ears, clear to me
@@andrewp634 No....Your wrong, lol
Berths or lack of an issue
so...DID HE COME BACK?? We don't care about anything else. Oh, that boat, yes, its OK.
🤣🤣🤣
Ah ….. no he did not. I must have just missed him 😂
Beautiful…

Disappointed that none of the punters asked for your autograph ;-)
So was I 😂😂😂

boating is fun and I think that of course you need to be sensible but don’t over think things otherwise you will never do it 😎
😆😆🤣🤣👏👏
THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT OUTSIDE MY COUNCIL HOUSE
Lovely boat but £1,000,000 and you can’t stand up in the cabins!
I sleep in the cabins 😂
Lovely boat if you enjoy sleeping in your clothes or love getting changed in the toilet.
Whats wrong with your sound ? Its almost inaudible
Yes someone else has said the same. It’s fine on my device - what are you watching on ?
Do the salon and dinette convert into spare births
Yes
Audio is extremely quiet
Apologies
Guess I wasn't the first like/view because I wasn't at the show. Lol
Like your funny style
Thank you 🙏

If space is all you need then the Galeon is a winner but boats are much more complex than that . It depends what is important to you as a buyer 😊
1 million pound for a bout u can’t stand up in the bedroom 😂😂

Ok will do
The interior is just ugly man...
Different colours are available 😜
Sorry but it looks naff from the outside
Looks good in the flesh 👌👌
Sorry but the video quality is terrible
