Could we appreciate how boss this character is? He has taken multiple hits that pulverized hills, survived an explosion that shattered a cliff ridge , blasted with a weapon able to raze a hole through a mountain, hit with rocks the size of cars, sliced with a sword the size of a train car, taken punches that broke whole building segments, and brought down a 250m tall insanely armored robot, only to stay alive and just gtfo.
This looks like one of the most polished and beautiful games I've seen in the genre. It seems fair but challenging, the visuals are fantastic, and it really pushes the limit of what can happen in a metal slug like game. Maybe that could be the new hot genre instead of roguelikes it's sluglikes lol
Only problem this game has is that its overall p short (2 hours) and that it had bit fucky wucky damage from physics but overall itsa great game so yeah
That's not unusual in the slightest, since by definition an indie game means it's made by either a very small group of people or one person; the developer(s) generally don't have any real financial backing from any publishers as well as any other outside source. Of course that doesn't detract from it being impressive, in terms of gameplay there are plenty of indie games that outstrip a lot of newer games made by huge studios; these indie games don't have to stop at just being better at gameplay, of course. I think the fact that indie games always have a lot of potential is because since there isn't like a board of directors or publishers trying to sway a small developer from the shadows, there doesn't ever have to be room for clashing ideas and consistency problems. My personal all-time favorite indie game is Starsector, I think it's basically a superior version of *Space Pirates and Zombies.* Anyone who likes those kinds of games will have an absolute blast with Starsector, everyone who likes indie games should check Starsector out, for sure.

This game has all the coolest boss design in its pack: large variety of moves, multiphase, unique idea (I like Maku the most) and very fluid animation, all done by 1 guy.
Yeah, those hand lasers at the end are unavoidable but since you didn't take actual health damage I'm going to count this as a win on your part. Good work as always! Was very impressed with DS2 as well!

Honestly I greatly appreciate Intrusion 2 just because it's sort of the perfect in between, an example of the bridge from like Flash devs making stuff on websites like Newgrounds and Kongregate to transitioning to full on indie devs. That and this game was basically /just/ the M.A.C.E fight. Like you can tell that was someone's power fantasy idea they had, particularly the whole sequence where you're being jostled around in the building, and they were just like 'Yeah. That's the start of it.' and everything else was made from that point.
The fact that you not only beat the final boss but also beat him on normal mode, but also did it with NOT A SINGLE BIT OF DAMAGE, really proves to me that people are fucking extraordinary when it comes to these kinds of challenges. Congrats, man.
Ngl the MACE fight looks terrifying lol at least during all the indoor segments. Makes u wonder how anyone can do this irl if such a thing were to happen haha
As a kid, I really wished games like Raze had story modes like this. They have so many thing in common: Similar controls, cool weapons, and funny physic.
PROPS MY DUDE that was a long, long, long final boss. All the stuff floating and falling in the building part, its all random stuff that gets in the way and you got through it. It was jaw dropping and left me on edge with the MANY times you ALMOST got hit.

This game is very well done,I remember playing it a long time ago,the prequel too. It's a shame that we didn't get intrusion 3,who knows if we ever will. I think that the game would have been even better if it supported community made maps,or maybe even a survival mode,co-op too.

For me I took like a 5 year break, than came back, replayed the entire game on hard, then for this final boss it took me like 3 days. So I don't know if it only took me 3 days or 5 years and 3 days, lol

Ok everyone! In this part of our museum we have this footage of what we call a "pro gamer". As you can see the pro gamer doesnt even take one piece of damage!
People who don't do gamedev saying this isn't impressive even if done by one man. They clearly haven't done sidescroller physics or animations with interpolation before. The way it even plays with these elements with ease is testament to a monster developer. Bravo Aleksei Abramenko. Edit: While I was writing this, I was thinking that he now has a ripe engine for making awesome, complex 2d sidescrollers now if he ever decides to. I decided to take a look what other games he's already made and sure enough, he also did work on Ori and the Will of the Wisps as the sole Physics Programmer.
honestly congrats on the third boss, i've been trying to do it myself on the hard difficulty for a long while and it's almost impossible to do it in one go just because mace spawns those gunner mechs which are almost impossible to dodge when they use their machine gun to attack you lol

Dude, this is insane. I've been trying to do a no death run for about 2 weeks now with no luck, and getting no damage with the bosses is ridiculous. You got SKILLS.

Ok everyone! In this part of our museum we have this footage of what we call a "pro gamer". As you can see the pro gamer doesnt even take one piece of damage!

People who don't do gamedev saying this isn't impressive even if done by one man. They clearly haven't done sidescroller physics or animations with interpolation before.
The way it even plays with these elements with ease is testament to a monster developer. Bravo Aleksei Abramenko.
Edit: While I was writing this, I was thinking that he now has a ripe engine for making awesome, complex 2d sidescrollers now if he ever decides to. I decided to take a look what other games he's already made and sure enough, he also did work on Ori and the Will of the Wisps as the sole Physics Programmer.
The final boss looks like EVA from Evangelion

honestly congrats on the third boss, i've been trying to do it myself on the hard difficulty for a long while and it's almost impossible to do it in one go just because mace spawns those gunner mechs which are almost impossible to dodge when they use their machine gun to attack you lol
Hopefully there's a Intrusion 3 with Maku and Dan returning or someone like them but with more gun modifications and gadgets.
It probably will be a remake of maku and Dan not a return because that was a robot
