Friends! I found this place by accident. Initially, I was going to shoot an overnight stay under the mountain, but in the distance I saw something incomprehensible and decided to look. In the end, I found something more interesting!
@@carlking8530 No, not necessarily BS. It is still very plausible that the owner or someone else came by and shoveled the snow in front earlier in this winter.
When I was homeless, I lived in my car. On cold nights, the rain is pleasant. I don't know how many times I heard the sound of rain patting on the car. Didn't realize I would miss it. Now I listen in my bed, with my wife. Helps to sleep well, reminds me of the hard times, makes you value the good times. Lots of love to anyone who had to listen to this noise.
I used to drive a fibreglass car and pull over for that lovely pitter patter of rain drops on the roof, Most relaxing, Very similar experience here a friend brought it to my attention
Living as a kid in rural North Carolina many decades ago, listening to the morning rain on a tin roof and smelling the woodsmoke and cooking bacon from a cast iron stove.
I think life can get too easy when you have a home. I'm not well off, I live in a tiny single storey rental with my husband and little dog in NZ. All winter it's been warm and dry. When I lived in the UK there were times when we hardly had any money But I was happy because my whole life I've only ever been totally happy close to nature, hearing the birds. I don't need the big house, shiny car, lots of possessions, the less I have the happier and free I feel 😊❤
You have displayed the motto of traveling in the wilderness, "always leave the place you stay better than when you arrived". This motto applies to everything in life as well. Good for you!! This cabin was built so well to have survived 30 years. I really liked the roof extension. it provides a place to unpack before you enter the cabin and I would imagine it also gives shade in the hot summer. So good to see you again. Be safe and take care of both you and your dog...
Please share this video with your family and friends to see how to treat someone else's house and property! Make it better than it was before you! Let the maximum number of people see it!
Seriously? You know he ain’t alone and their gonna make the shoot as easy as possible. 30 year old cabin? Possibly by dating objects in the cabin. Stove style and serial number, a calendar? Mail, correspondence? It’s all about investigating. You think he moves the camera every single time to get the golden shot? No. Expert hiker. Survivalist, photographer, yada, yada….. please.
I wonder if no one else will find it for another 30 years. It is in a beautiful spot; would like to see what it looks like in the summer. I love it when someone leaves a place in better condition than when they used it.
Well, aren't you dear. A perfect example of "leave the campsite, better than you found it"...well done, Sir! You are a shining example of care and respectfulness of someone else's property.
If, you look close it wasn't shoveled if, it was there would have dirt or gravel to see and there isn't any. It fell that way, because there were higher grounds around it.
I enjoy watching this video it was very nice pleasant and calm I want to tell you that you have a beautiful dog thanks for sharing this with us all the best from Texas😊
I was most impressed that there was a 30 year old camera that filmed your arrival at the 30 year old cabin. The EveryReady Bunny was telling the truth in hyping those EverReady batteries!

I love your calm tone, your skill in bushcraft, and the overall kick-ass way you tame the elements. Thanks for the upload sir. In a world of many YT wannabes, you are the real thing! 11/10.
Oops...maybe he thought the viewers would get bored watching him shovel out the path. Either way, what does it matter? Shelter and survival is the primary focus and or purpose. How childish and pathetic to "nit pick" about the cleared path. Even if someone else cleared the path, it was still him who took shelter and survived, as well as leaving the cabin in better condition then when he arrived.
Greetings from our family in Virginia....neat how you beat the blankets and rugs....I'm always impressed when a guy does a house ...enjoyed every minute of your adventure find video!!🎆🎆🎇🎇🎉🎉
I hope you aren't referring to my comment because I don't believe there was anything wrong with what I said. We are supposed to enjoy and comment anything as long as it doesnt hurt anyone.
This weather is so mild. I want to sit in front of the fireplace with a good cup of tea and let go of everything. And there was only a blizzard outside the window. Comfortable and peaceful.
I’m glad y found that place it’s better than the cave and love the dog he took Over y bed he was cold and that sausage sandwich look so delicious hope y enjoy y cabin get away ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You can always tell a good man by how he treats his dog & other peoples property. The bedding was sus. Should be burnt but not being your property you did the next best thing. At least you didn’t sleep on it directly & you made sure your dog didn’t either. You are very talented with finishing the drawing of the bear & your carving skills 10++. Been thinking lately that maybe I'm not living life to the fullest. Now I'm quite sure of it. The shoot was very relaxing and I appreciate you sharing it, Peace

Great video and I love the way you cleaned up the cabin you found. You are a good man and I have subscribed. Thank you for a wonderful visit with you and your beautiful dog in this video.
North of here are little cabins in the forest for hikers, hunters skiers who got lost,A little-known facts is to leave a couple cans of food or water behind for someone else ,survival is for everyone.
I don't understand the hateful and sarcastic comments. They add no value ever. For me it was an interesting overnighter. He cleaned up the place and returned more firewood than he used. As for the story telling, either way it makes it more interesting. The bear was clearly out of season but a nice diversion especially regarding the drawing. I appreciate the no talking so we can experience it as well. It is not uncommon in some places to leave a few survival goods in these cabins for passer byes to have a place to shelter if needed. Sometimes it can mean the difference between life and death. The key is be respectful and replace what you use if you can for the next person. Bravo to the owner and the user and thanks for taking us out of our petty lives for a few short moments.
Watching your video was sure pleasing. A older cabin that had plenty inside, which was fine.for you. You did good by going out and replenished more wood.Made yourself a fire inside and cooked. And built a fire outside and cooked.Liked your drawing of the bear that was cool, and I liked the carving of a drinking cup, that was really cool. Good luck on your next venture.😊
Вход хорошо бы во весь рост делать, очень тяжело всё время нагибаться, жалко вас ребята, спину гнуть, пригодиться поясница к старости, здоровая, всем удача, спасибо за видео.
All he said was that the cabin was likely 30 years old. Possibly correct. This wouldn’t apply to the porch built of recent logs, but so what. It’s just a story about finding a place to stay overnight and filming the adventure. The sour souls determined to prove deception need to lighten up.
You're the FIRST outdoorsperson on TH-cam that I've seen with a SHIBA INU!! They love cold, so she/he's a great choice for snowshoeing. Shibas are so no-nonsense, straightforward, and steady dogs. I just watched this to see the Shiba!!!!!

Yucky...pretty gross. With all of the rodent droppings, I a sure the smell isn't great either. You certainly left t better than you found it. Great job. What a cool dog.
But the log cabin in the forest was not lost, it has been there for 30 years. Maybe this trekker was lost and was lucky to stumble across this well maintained hut?
Alla prossima.. forse sarà difficile tornarci.. con l'orsa.. bel coraggio nella foresta.. si rischia.. bel video 📹.. Grazie per averci resi partecipi della tua esperienza.. Complimenti per la tua Creatività ❤️
This cabin doesn't look abandoned, not with the cleaned path to the door. It appears to me you probably do some research to find cabins in the bush and then set out to find them, and spend the night. Sure you clean them up but you should not be there trespassing on other people's property. Cabins in the bush are usually left unlocked in case of an emergency but you are always well prepared for your outings.

If you just found it by accident, then tell me who shoveled off the walk way in the front? Must be a little bs going on , huh.
Beautiful Shiba Inu. ❤️

Amazing how someone already shoveled the snow out for him!
It could have been the actual owner or someone else who came by who shoveled the snow in front.

I do not believe in abandonment of 30 years of this cabin is very well preserved. Beautiful pictures and stay well.
Where does it say abandoned cabin? It just says 30 year old cabin.
all i want is a property with a few of these around nice places and i'll never need to leave.
Well, you still need to get food somehow - do you also have a plan for that?

I love that you cleaned the place up but that bedding really needed to be burned 🔥 😩

If, you look close it wasn't shoveled if, it was there would have dirt or gravel to see and there isn't any. It fell that way, because there were higher grounds around it.
You got that right now way would I have slept on that's nasty bedding I would have rather slept outside
Love the drawing! You are very talented!
At beginning you can see a path was shoveled out going to front door and snowed over.
It's good to have a dog as a friend, guardian and companion. Also as alarm.
Molto bello vedere il cane coperto, bravo, complimenti!!!! 👍
Another great video! I believe someone was there before you got there though - looks like someone shoveled the path....thanks!

I love how people show to these places and just light a fire! Don’t even check the stovepipe or the chimney!! Wow.
Just because it wasn't in this video doesn't necessarily mean he didn't check/inspect all of that off camera.
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. You don't know and judging is so easy.
