I am glad it continued here and "bridge" had been on my mind as an option as well when musing about it the other day. Which also solves a problem I had been thinking about, I'd call it "crowd control." I have to be vague not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't yet finished this book but I am confident that you get my clues and understand :) This was really great and I'm looking forward to the next book. 1:39:40 Okay, Marin removed the collar, but did they waste time putting on Scion's saddle in that situation? Speaking of, they really need to figure out a way to let Scion don and doff the collar on her own. She might end up doing the Terminator thing if there's nobody around to give her clothes, but it would still be a big advantage to let her make the decision on her own.
The issue with the collar is that it was designed to control dragons against their will, so the enchantment on it keeps Sion from being able to remove it herself.

Chapter 8 - “Hold it still,” Maren said. I did as she asked and kept the boat steady so she could climb into it. She bent over and fumbled around before standing back up with the paddles. They’d been tucked into a long pocket space, and I wondered who had put them there. :)
@@RichardFierceWrites I meant way back when they first went to the Island of Lost Souls. I remember comments about the boat only going one speed and so on.
