What an amazing day this was. Best Green Day show I have seen and supporting bands kicked ass as well, Rancid and The Hives did amazing sets. 1:51 summed up the day as BJ sits down and lets us all do the vocals... I was right at the front of the VIP garden and viewing area dead center of the stage and when they played this with 65,000 people doing the vocals behind us it sounded just incredible! Brilliant!
Nial Pearce was right behind the vip area such an amazing day got to give it to the 65,000 people who sang queen right before, think we gave them a concert aswell
I've seen Green day 4 time this being number 4.was an amazing show. Hopefully, maybe seeing them next month in London with fall out boy. Still not cancelled
Sticking a barrier at the front and charging people more to stand the other side. Not very punk is it? Dividing people based on income. Rancid were the best band that day. Nearly every green day song ended up with 'i say hey, you say ho!' never seen a band waste so much time.
A vast chunk of the 60 odd thousand singing along to Green Day would suggest that they didn't think it was a waste of time. Rancid were excellent but Green Day did put on a real show.
Where was the extra charge then? I was stood in the pit about 10 people deep and the only thing needed was a wristband which were handed out at the gate...
Daniel Roberts If you are on about the 'golden circle' section at the front of the crowd, then no it wasn't. I was stood in it and had a general admission ticket like everyone else in it. The VIP terrace thing to the right of the stage was obviously more money as it came with more things.

it was 158 to have access to the fenced off bit. Its on the website. Either way its dividing people at a punk gig.
