A simple guide for making love last by learning how to speak your partner’s love languages.
The world is filled with many languages, and when we don’t speak the same one it becomes difficult to communicate. The same can be said when two people in love have different love languages. If your partner doesn’t speak your language, then they are failing to meet your emotional needs and can you leave you feeling empty and unloved. This can then lead to hatred and resentment and your marriage will suffer. Dr. Gary Chapman, however, has set out to help marriages succeed by identifying the five love languages and explaining how you can speak your partner’s language. Understanding your partner’s love language is essential for any successful marriage or relationship. Throughout The Five Love Languages, find out your primary love language, how you can speak your partner’s language, and why communication is key in any relationship.

My main love language is mainly physical. My wife's main love language is acts of service.
I give her all the physical love in the world, and she gives me all of her acts of service.
We've been doing it backwards for so long, but were communicating and working through it. Thanks for the summary ✌️

I know my partner's love language. And I have been working on it but I need to listen and respect her more. She is #2 and a small mixture of 1 through 4 but 2 being the dominant language. And she likes massages as far as the 5th. It makes more sense. My main love language is 5. My dialog also has 2 and my 2 is different then hers. I tend to make it about her and haven't done mine. She feels I ignored hers for 12 years. And I have made a day for her every week now for the last 4 or 5 months straight. And it feels like that's not helping the issue

My question is if you are in a relationship and your love languages is not being met, should you give the relationship time to grow and evolve?
But, or realize early on that this is it. Call it an experience.
Know that This is all there is and all that will be.
    Don’t waste your time…..

Honestly, if the person you are with at least keeps trying on a regular basis to make things better and to make you happy and listens even though they don’t fully understand what you need because they don’t speak the same love language, I would say without a doubt, don’t let them go. Remember if they don’t understand your love language, you don’t get theirs either so you have to make an effort to understand them as well. In the end, If they are trying to understand and give you what you need and they keep trying even when they fail, you should give them the same in return and eventually you guys will be happy together. Relationships take work and there are always ups and downs in every relationship. If both of you continue to keep trying, I guarantee you’ll end up together forever. However, If only one of you tries and the other one doesn’t, I would say yeah don’t stay with them because you are never going to get what you need from them whether they speak the same love language as you or not. Love is a two way street. There are too many fish In the sea though for u to just give up and think that’s as good as it will ever get. It’s quite the opposite actually. Learn from your relationships and do things differently the next time. Pay more attention early on and make sure you are more compatible with them and don’t ignore red flags. I’m not sure if that really answered your question or not but I hope it helps. That’s the best advice I can give you

@@naomimacdonald1658 Thank you Naomi! That made practical sense. And each relationship is different. Each person is responsible to try and learn and understand the other persons love language. Like you said give it time.
And for sure if the next time comes around then pay attention to all the flags early on.
      Great advice!
