Good job there !! My dad relied on his 'girls ' on the farm.....Dad a farm labourer... horses were his life ! Mum always said he loved them more than her ..... she was right ... putting his 'girls' to bed after a days work was...brushed down..feet cleaned and checked . fresh straw for bedding...hay and oats and fresh water for dinner and if it was that cold ...potato sacking to keep them warm ! Many of his dinners was binned ...unedible after this ritual ! On his death.. Friend said ..'Bob was the happiest man on earth when he was ploughing the earth looking up his girls backsides ! ' That was my dad !!
