Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I didn't enjoy sticking it together but I did really enjoy the painting. I've taken Barry's Dimetrodon model by Lindberg to paint after he stuck it together. It's fun to paint. Now I've decided to make a little landscape for the Dimetrodon too. I'll ask Bazza to post a video when it's done.
Hi. Really enjoyed watching your build and your approach to it. The acrylic pens were new to me and something I will look into. I also really liked your colours on the top deck. I've just started doing this build so was curious to see what others were doing. Yours was the best I have come across so far IMHO 😀👍. Thanks again.
An excellent job, Sarah; all the more impressive for being a first attempt. I'm sure Bazza would be proud. Oh, and by the way, the 'sticky-out bits' are technically known as flash
Cracking job! Skills from the doll houses very transferable. Attention to detail on the weathering on the sails and deck is outstanding. Can't believe you used a vintage kit though. Could ahve bought the re-release and kept that vintage kit for the (extra)nerdy collectors :D
This is really cool. I have not seen anybody "sidebrush" this much since my wife started painting minis. This BTW is not a critique, but with nails like that I assume you paint those in up and down strokes? LOL 😅
Great build Sarah.. The Victory looks fantastic. Barry has some competition it seems!
I absolutely love this!! Well done!!

New ones are so expensive! This one was only a couple of quid. Probably explains why the masts were so wonky lol.
Well done Sara ;-)
Super detailing on the sails
Well done that's ace 👍
