i am from an incredibly small ag town in nor cal and i swear a huge percentage of the graduates from my high school go to cal poly slo, and im sure that’s common across rural communities in the state, so it makes a lot of sense that there isn’t a lot of diversity there

Her power comes half from the fact that she’s not white but is copying white culture 50% of the time and is adventurous with colors and textures I guess. I’m really not a fan of this, to the outside world it’s just rich Americans comparing to rich Americans, and I just don’t think olive brown skin even needs foundation given we usually don’t blush at all. In some ways it’s an advantage over most white Americans to not blush or get blotchy easily. Then there’s the advantage of medicine/engineering wealth and the obsession of getting girls into STEM too, then the desirability of being a woman in STEM from an upper middle class community, then the ability to have family in another country which isn’t easily accessible like Mexico/Canada/Europe. Why is this channel founded on such a negative premise then?

Well as a person of color myself, when I hear it pronounced that way, it is letting me know that person knew there was going to be a lot of white/caucasian people there but finding out that there were a whole lot more in reality than your mind had you ready for. So it can be sort of a shock to you. Example: for me I will joke to myself and mean it at the same time and think “ Oh this will be an easy game of Where is Waldo. Meaning I’m Waldo and you will be able to find me Real easy in a crowd of people that Im surrounded with.
Can you please post long videos of your makeup looks. I miss those grwm videos of youtubers. Nowadays it is only about products than about the makeup and different techniques to do it.

I used to go to a 40% Arabic, 30% Asian, 38% latinos and 2% white school, now that I moved out I go to a 80% white and the rest is from other countries school 😢
I feel bad that it has to be such a shock to be with other cultures. It shouldn’t be that way. I was surrounded by a lot of Asian friends in my childhood. One of my friends from India taught me how to cook her food, which was always so fun to do. And to see how much spiciness I could tolerate! 😅 in grade school I learned some Spanish but it didn’t stick with me, so I switched to Mandarin in High school. That was much easier for me! I’ve always just loved all the cultures of Asia, especially all the good food! My husband and I always joke that we need a second fridge just for all my condiments for Asian cooking 😅 we moved to a state that is quite “white”, and it was a shock to me to have such a hard time finding good Asian ingredients and just never seeing other cultures around. I always feel so much more at home with more cultures. I think that’s what makes this country kind of cool because it’s made up of so many cultures and has so much diversity that normally it makes it easy for us to experience diversity without ever leaving the country.
Outdoor weddings are so risky because of unpredictable weather or other ways mother nature can be annoying. Good luck and hopefully since its in august the weather will be more predictable

My parents had to take me out of a brown high school because it got so bad. They teach their kids no manners. Once I got into a white high school, everything was better.
