Only just found your channel because I am trying to get back into lure fishing and introducing my early 20s son to join me at the same time. Only had a couple of bass amongst lots of mackerel but it is always bags of fun. This video is honest and informative without being scary for a beginner. A good taste of the effort, disappointment and rewards that lure fishing entails. Subbed and looking forward to going through your content old and new.
Welcome to the mad house! Plenty of amusing and hopefully informative videos on here … I have a few play lists or just have a nose around 👍🏻🎣 good luck with your comeback.
Great video!... I fished this a lot last year on a surface lures and even limpet on the sea bed. I rarely blanked. Its a hard walk in that shingle but worth it to have the whole stretch to yourself👍
Thanks Rob, Yes it’s definitely not a place to go if you’re not fairly fit ! Yeah you get it 👍🏻 it’s not that productive really but I love it 6 or 7 hours and not see a single person. I’ve never had any luck before mid May there but if we get the right conditions I may try early this season.

@@chuckitandsea well you fish rough ground as I do sometimes but I do keep checking the line and leader ,I think always change the leader after each session , one bit of weakness could cost the fish of a lifetime
Lovely video. Great footage, great fish and great help to get someone on to the fish if they follow some of your guidance. Well done you deserved those fish, you worked hard for them. 👍🐟🐟🐟
Thanks Nigel. Editing took about a week seriously I don’t think I will bother again average watch time is 8 mins 🤷🏻♂️ It seems people just want to see fish I could have just put the catches in and got the same watch time. Channel seems to be going ok overall tho 🤷🏻♂️
@@chuckitandsea Same with me. Short vids with fish do the business. I have just been out. 3 hours fishing with one hook up which came off🤣🤣. Be interesting to see how many watches I get when I post it. We put in the work and they just want action. It’s not like that in real life. Hard work. Keep going. Great stuff. 👍🐟

Great show Old Sport. It's hard not to get involved with the excitement when you're catching. Very compelling, and insightful too. Many thanks. Raymondo.
Many thanks Raymondo in these types of long form I think you can enjoy it with me if you have been through the build up missed fish and getting snapped off etc it sounds like you came on the full journey! Thank you for that!

From Shrewsbury just go west to the coast in Wales then from next month it will start to pick up all the way until the end of September ! Pretty much all around the Welsh coast in summer you can find Bass. Good luck
Is that north or south of the steps mark ....not that im going all the way over there again ... i got Bass a plenty on the south coast ....im just curious 🤔
That’s a good question! It depends on many factors. I will try to cover the area that I thought “looked good” hit the spots where I think bass maybe hidden waiting for a passing meal and try to pull the lure in natural direction past that point. That’s not always possible from the beach but I try to get as close to that as I can. Sometimes it may require a change of lure or a different method. Assuming I’m targeting a piece of structure I would then hit the areas that I think the bass would arrive and leave that area… before moving on. Also the “ gut feeling “ is a major part for me👍🏻 in short it may be 6 or 30 casts depending on what the target area consists of. I hope that helps 🎣
The problem of fishing or not fishing is very simple to solve. There just has to be fish. And I'm not joking, many people insist on buying the best equipment they can afford and then go to places where there isn't even any algae. Bad business.
Hi yes your absolutely right.. I did do that in most areas tbf. I struggled to edit it down as it was can’t keep everything in. I have had takes on that beach literally 3 or 4 feet out at night👍🏻 thanks for your comment tight lines 🎣
