Thank you! That's exactly what I wanted from the videos. This trail, especially this variant, deserves so much more recognition. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I hope you have a great experience when you head out on it!
Thanks! I was in a similar mindset too. I can't speak for the Cumbria Way normal as I've not done it, but this version was really enjoyable for me. I'm headed back there in a couple of weeks for another route or two.
I had to put a Day Five correction in mine too! 😂 Awesome series mate, even though I already knew then ending, I was thoroughly entertained until the end. Was a pleasure to do the trail with you pal. I think we can both safely say "It's just what we needed!". P.S. I made you an Instagram star, so I don't know what all the "he's Instagramming again" complaints are about.
Thanks buddy! Was a hoot doing the trail with you, made a great change to have someone to chat to! (and laugh at). Would have been better without the constant complaining though.....!!
Well done Paul and Mark. What a beautiful journey! Paul, do you use an actual filter or a digital one to get the high saturation? I used to use a polariser for colour, and a red/orange one for black&white with my film setup. (Film? What's that?) Sorry this comment is months late. I waited until I had time to binge it all at once. It was worth the wait!
Hey, thanks Anne. This was a great trip, if a little chilly at times! I sometimes use a polariser on my drone. The action camera I use (most of the shots where I'm not talking to the camera) has no filters on it. The camera I use for talking to, I usually have ND filters on that. I use an LUT in processing on all the footage, I'd guess that's where the saturation is mostly coming from. I've actually got defective colour vision, like a mild colour-blindness, so I'm sure things look a bit funny sometimes to most people! I'm still learning each time I go out to be honest!
Great series, very inspiring. It's on my list now.

looks like a great route, I wasn't that fussed about doing the Cumbria way, I could be talked into doing this variant.
