Is There a Gaming Apocalypse Coming?

This is just the latest in a long line of studio closures and industry instability. Is this trend going to continue and worsen? Why do you think these things keep happening?

What they need to do is add mod support for their games, people will keep playing it because the fan base will create their own dlc. Game's like risk of rain 2 has a huge mod community and even if the new official dlc made by devs is similar to mods we will still buy it in support of the game. Risk of rain 2 isn't super huge but the community expands it and keeps it alive

Excellent point. My first real experience with Mods was with Diablo II and that extended the life of that game (for me).
