I can see where AC is going with this. A lost/wanderer arriving in Japan learning how to be the greatest samurai ever. I get it. Im just gonna throw my opinion out there. I think that spending money on cosmetics in general is just wrong. Why waste money on cosmetics when you could use that money to buy a whole other game. I never did understand it. And like you said if the company goes under or decides to shut it down then its gone. This is the same reason i was hesitant to buy any type of digital game in the first place. Imagine if for some reason steam just shuts down. I have many hundreds of dollars spent on steam games and it would be just gone.

What they need to do is add mod support for their games, people will keep playing it because the fan base will create their own dlc. Game's like risk of rain 2 has a huge mod community and even if the new official dlc made by devs is similar to mods we will still buy it in support of the game. Risk of rain 2 isn't super huge but the community expands it and keeps it alive
