Yes. The issue with this game's sales was due to marketing failures but the brand of Indie is still hurt by Dial of Destiney - which was recieved terribly due to woke progressive stuff. That film undermined Indie because he's old white male and that ticked a large number of Indie fans that they likely didn't want to look at any more modern Indie content. Did the film piss off enough people to effect sales of this game? Yes I think so. Did this game's marketing make up for this? No. Not at all. The games marketing needed to be excellent to overcome the reputational damage caused by the Dial of Destiny. Which - was not just a progressive mess - but flat out an unpopular movie that made Indie himself seem un-exciting and not a very fun person to want to role play as. Spiderman, Baldur's Gate 3, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Zero Dawn/etc, and others have had excellent sales even though woke stuff was apparent in these games, and that's because marketing made it clear to a very large number of people that these games delivered on their key selling points. The Great Circle's marketing failed to get it across to enough people that the game would deliver a solid fun Indie first person shooter experience and it failed to dispel the bad taste left in people's mouths caused by Dial of Destiney.

The game is fantastic. Indy is the main character. Your insecurities screaming 'girl boss!' 'girl boss!' catatonically like panicked old ladies only shows you being completely brainwashed. If Raiders had come out now, you'd shit on Marion as 'girl boss' and later on in the Fate of Atlantis game, the same for the woman support lead too. EVERY woman saves Indy from something in EVERY. I didn't play it for the same reason why I did not play Avatar. To recapture the experience from the movies they needed to be in 3rd person.

Subliminal bisexual lighting - not overdone, but there. All the mine lights glowed purple. My lights glow amber. The sunspot-lens flares were bisexual blue and pink as the camera pans down the crotch of the German soldier? The museum scene with villain guy - subtle blues and purples. The first time I heard someone talk about political propaganda in movies or games was Avatar. That movie had a lot of people raging talking about how it has secret messages about expansionism & war. Usually "review-bomb" is used to imply that whatever is being reviewed is getting lots of unfair or undeserved negative reviews. But for a game that is literally not working, negative reviews are totally fair and deserved. Imagine saying the same for some headphones: You buy them, receive an undamaged package, but the headphones don't work, and you are not the only one, but one of many getting shitty earmuffs. Obviously many negative reviews wouldn't be "review-bomb", for they would be fair, deserved, and very much helpful to new potential buyers, for they need to be warned that this product doesn't work.

It's Microsoft Windows 11 24H2 update in case someone failed to comprehend which launched which a multitude of problems. As most other games work Ubisoft should probably work on this with Microsoft soon as gamers only care about the game running... could be one of their DRM measures. This is not intended to be a justification and certainly not an excuse. I just want to explain Ubisoft's mindset. They says to themselfs: It's not our fault! And mabye its not, BUT... this shows how much value Ubisoft places on its own brands. In fact, none at all. You saw it on The Crew. Only after a massive shitstorm and the threat of a massive class action lawsuit against Ubisoft did they assure that the game would still be playable with the next patch. This also proves that many online based games can definitely run in local mode if there is the will to do so. In the case of Origins, you can now see exactly the mindset that drives companies like Ubisoft. "Origins is finished, it's no longer our concern." If you can't play it anymore "for reasons", f*ck you and shut up. This is how Ubisoft thinks about its consumers. Not only are they shitting on their consumers, they are also shitting on their own brands. For them, their games are just stops on a train line. When you're past it, it's forgotten. Do you understand? So, why continue counting on Ubisoft? They are now begging for gamers to come back and give them another chance. For what? To be disappointed again? I also wish Ubisoft would be better. That brands like Splinter Cell are coming back and that Ubisoft has the spirit of the 90s again. But that's over. I feel with every one who got this/these games and cant play them... ac origons+odessy are 2 games i really like and still have installed on my 2 desktops after years since i 1st finished them... Visuals and how it playes are among my top favorite games...more so in the winter time in northern europe when its dark n very cold...then odessy n origins are really at its best for me! Hope it get fixed very soon and i just feel for ubisoft that cant seem to get a thing their way!
