FANTASTIC review and quality.
Quick tip form a fellow nerd: your audio is clipping a bit - throw a little more compression on there and make sure you're not in the red. Also, get that mic as close as possible to your mouth - even in the shot - and use a mask/plate to edit it out. And if you can, invest in a little room treatment and some carpeting to help with the reverb.

It's worth mentioning that the compression straps you can buy for the normal size Forge can really compress the depth of the bag, especially if it's not filled to the brim :)

this bag looks almost perfect for me, i just wish it worked more like a duffel rather than opening up clamshell. when i travel i prefer to live out of the bag and i’ve found that the duffel style worked best for that, rather than a clamshell that lends itself more to totally unpacking when you reach your destination.
a duffel style lends itself more to quick access for a top-loading camera cube as well, which i often use. still, great bag for those that like this style of carry

I wish they had the Forge-20 also as expandable version, that would be a perfect size. The standard one just is too bulky when compressed imo
Does the Forge 20 have only one zipper to get into the main compartment? If so, that seems like a curious design choice as you would have to open the entire compartment to get to your laptop.

I was just wondering these past days when will you do a review of this bag, I was thinking about getting it, but i don’t know which one to get, the forge 20 seems like you can’t really carry more than some of your tech gear and the forge seems too bulky for EDC... I love how they look, but i don’t really know which one to get, I might get it this week but still need to decide lol, do you think the compression straps makes the forge as thin as the forge 20 without packing it much?

Nasser Faouri I have the forge cordura now, the normal that expands. Well I can tell you it’s not that bulky when fully loaded. It’s actually slim but that slim without compression straps. It gets fat as soon you start putting things on the cloth compartment in the middle or when you expand that compartment. I think maybe the thing of the forge is for packing in packing cubes but I haven’t tried

I own this bag, and I would say that this bag has been a good companion for multiple years i have used it. I have the model where they updated the material to the nylon instead if that weird plasticky looking material. If your items are flat - then this bag works well, i was able to buy both a macbook pro and 14 inch gaming laptop. the Main compartment where where things just move around, i wish there was a divider accessory that could be added. The front pocket is my favorite part, I get a small techslim pouch and put one in the mesh pocket. When you expand the bag out, you that's when the structure really breaks and the bag will sag but i carried easily 20+ pounds worth of gear and no issues.
The biggest issue is probably that if you don't have flat items, it's hard to put it in this bag.

Do you ever sell any of your bags?
Curious question about the bag, if you actually packed for let's say 2-3 days worth of travel on it, would the weight still be within the limits of the hand carry capacity (7-10 kg)? Fairly certain the stuff will fit but the weight is going to be my concern. Or perhaps you're forced to check in your luggage?
We believe so, as per airline policy- regardless of the item your stuff is contained, it shouldn't exceed the allowable hand-carry capacity of 7-10kg. If it's more than that, then you may need check-in this as a luggage. This gear though can accommodate between 20-30 liters, we suggest you maximized the capacity so you wouldn't have to bring an additional hand-carry bag.

Hi Aaron! It is 1.25kg upon checking.
I just bought a new Forge since I was happy with an older backpack of this brand, but instead if the model shown in pictures, which was in a gummy fabric finish like the other one I use, it came completely different. I asked to exchange it since it is not compliant to the sales page images, and they said they changed the fabric and that’s it. But if you buy on line you trust the pics and its not fair to send a different product. I loved my old one I gave my boyfriend and now I am just disappointed. Its not right to be sent a different product and be ignored, like it was my fault for their mistakes.
I am not happy, feels like a scam.
If you change the product, just SHOOT NEW PICS. Is it that difficult? Don’t blame a client that trusts your pics, please. Its sad and helps no one.

Oftentimes a brand would modify their existing product- trying out different materials, like that of the X-PAC versions. From our end we tend, to update the images prior to posting it online, that way online expectation meets reality.
@@RushfasterTV i wish they updated the pics before selling! Now they just deleted the detail pics so yes they are seeing my protest, but stopped answering my emails. Errors are human and we could have meet and agreement, but ignoring me and deleting the pics is so coward acting for a brand. Disappointed.
Both bags weight 1.81 kgs / 3.99 lbs empty.
Fully packed, they will be extremely heavy.
