I feel like in thrillers it can be hard to connect to characters or care about them past a surface level. A flicker in the dark I really cared about Chloe and felt like I was in her head. The writing was so good and I completely agree that it pulls you in. It got me out of a reading slump at the beginning of the year and I haven’t turned back since

If you love thrillers and romance then you’ll definitely love books by Karen Rose. They’re thriller books but always have a love interest developing.
