I just finished The Silent Patient a couple days ago and when I start piecing together what was happening, I had to do a lap around my room. I was mind-blown. Incredible book.
Just getting into thrillers and so excited to find your channel and this list!! Thanks for the recommendations! You’ve mentioned some I’m not hearing others talk about! Exciting!!
If you’re into Kindle Vella, then I recommend London Through the Shadows by Grace Nelly. It’s such an unique thriller, film noir style with a love triangle and amazing twists. It’s a quick read and so GOOD! Reminds me of Riley Sager a little.
The silent patient is SO GOOD!!!!!! The twist caught me so off guard that i was in tears. Let my favorite teacher borrow it and once she’s done reading it, I’m going to reread and annotate. Currently reading Sometimes I Lie, Gone Girl, and We Spread. Also about to start The Replacement Wife and one other that I can’t remember. Yes, I read multiple books at once, I can never wait!
Really enjoyed Rock, Paper, Scissors & Big Little Lies :) Great video - I've been trying to get more into thrillers, thanks for the other recommendations!
I’ve read about half of these, and I loved the as much as you so I took a screenshot of all the ones I have not read and I’m looking forward to going to the library thank you!! ❤❤❤ Verity is really good too! And, The Family Upstairs
This is the first thriller recs video I’ve watched where every *single* book sounds right up my alley and was immediately added to my TBR! Instant subscribe 😇😇
The Slient Patient, omg that book was such a nail biter. I loved it could "bless you" stop reading it the end was OMG NO WAY SUCH a mind blowing. A must read.❤❤❤❤
I’m so surprised to hear you liked Behind Closed Doors! I usually love all the same stuff as you but I couldn’t stand the unrealistic relationships, scenes etc and the underdeveloped characters. I would love to hear more of your thoughts on it! Thanks for all the good recs!
I loved the book. It may not be perfect but it was a fast read, left you at edge of seat, suspenseful. Like watching a movie. The character may have been underdeveloped but it was the suspense that was so intriguing 4/5 for me
I clicked the video because of Pretty Girls. N completely agree. It’s the best thriller novel yet for me. It’s totally like chasing that fix. Like will this one be as good…..? Though not as high. I have a book worth a read at least. Will reply with it.
Highly recommend "Still Missing" by Chevy Stevens. It's such an interesting format, and I really enjoyed that one and "Never Knowing" by the same author.
Thank you for adding 24 thriller books for me to read in 2023 prayers and thoughts for you and your family love your family friend John ❤❤❤Merry Christmas 🎄 for you and your family
Silent Patient is so twisted. I was initially getting bored with Theo, of why he needed to talk more about himself instead of talking more of his patient. But then...............
Once you said 24 thrillers I strapped in and opened up the notes app to where I have a list of books I have to get my hands on 😂😂. There are a couple of these that I’ve already read or already have on my list to buy. Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewel, The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson, and The One by John Marrs are phenomenal reads for sure! I’m currently reading Big Little Lies right now😂. Might be an unpopular opinion but I think Peter Swanson’s Eight Perfect Murders was really good as well ❤.
Have you read Watchers by Dean Koontz. That is an awesome thriller. I also loved The silent patient. I could not put it down and that twist at the end I was not expecting that. Right now I am reading Then She Was Gone. But after watching this I have marked on good reads some of the books you recommended
Thanks for another entertaining video. You've reminded me of a few books I really want to get round to reading in the New Year: Razorblade Tears, They Never Learn, Jar of Hearts, Pretty Girls, The Kind Worth Killing, Lock Every Door.....I noticed you still have Stephen King's Fairy Tale on one of the shelves behind you - you didn't end up destroying it, then?! 😁 As for my favourite thriller...it's really difficult to choose just one! So, my favourite*s* include Patricia Highsmith - Deep Water; The Cry of the Owl; Thomas Harris - The Silence of the Lambs; Jim Thompson - The Killer Inside Me; Tim Willocks - Bloodstained Kings; Charles Higson - King of the Ants and Val McDermid - The Distant Echo. Have you heard of Nicci French? If not, I'd suggest checking out their [it's actually a husband and wife writing together] books. Maybe try Beneath the Skin or Land of the Living. I think you would probably like them.
I didn’t destroy it! Lol I didn’t completely hate it so I kept it. That reminds me I have to read Silence of the Lambs in 2023! I think I have heard of Nicci French but haven’t read anything by them I’ll have to check them out!
Yess!! I read a lot, of thrillers specifically.. & Nicci French’s Frieda Klein series is 1 of my all time favorites!! I believe there’s 9 altogether, starting with Blue Monday- every 1 is exceptional & they’re all available on Libby! Somehow I’ve missed Beneath The Skin though so I’m very excited to pick that 1 up! Great recommendations!! 😊
@@erinmarie3969 you're welcome and great to hear you have enjoyed Nicci French's books so much 🙂. Have you read any books by Minette Walters? She's my other favourite writer of thrillers....she's since moved on to historical fiction but I highly recommend all her books from The Ice House to The Cellar.
Dude , does anyone has any other recommendation except The silent patient , I have already read it and really liked it, it is amazing but what do I read after that , I m thinking to buy verity , seven husbands of hugh , the maiden

If you haven’t read it….do! Lisa Jewel I see you. The book I mentioned above is being made to a movie or series which I squealed with delight over. This book and Pretty Girls I keep looking to see if made into a movie or series. Nothing yet but I haven’t given up hope.
Whoops! I keep mixing them up. I found you reminded me of pretty girls or I should say the other way around. The found man. But not much is actually similar. It was just ideas I had as to the mystery in pretty girls. Anyway Clare Mackintosh is the correct author.
I see you, is extremely disturbing for women. It’s very haunting. In a nutshell a “business” will stalk you as per requests. Like a man is interested in you. Pays for info so they can plan a way to meet up, woo her, share interests, etc. Creepy but ok….. then things start getting more n more sinister with the use of this business. N some parts give you the POV of the creator and how they feel about this use of information. Let’s just say I had chills during those parts.
I LOVE Pretty Girls. It is one of my favorite books. Period. It is the bar I set for Thrillers. It is a high bar 😂 My favorite Mystery is Home Before Dark by Riley Sager. 😂 I’ve just added The Silent Patient, They Never Learn, Local Woman Missing, False Witness, Rock Paper Scissors, and Jar of Hearts to my TBR. I was going to read Razor Blade Tears, but violence against LGBTQIA+ people triggers me.
hey meg! really love your recommendations. could you please recommend me an adventure thriller (would love if it revolves around nature) book plsssssssss!!!
Great recs. The problem I had with Behind Closed Doors is that the husband changed immediately after the wedding. No gradual psychotic behavior. We follow him as he makes and executes his plan. This is a book where, if I were to tell you what the main premise is, that would be a major spoiler. I was going to recommend The Plot, but I see it there on your bookshelf. It's a lot like The Silent Patient or Rock, Paper, Scissors in that the success of the story hinges on the twist working, and it worked really well on me, so I loved it. Why is this video not containing any single book by Agatha Christie?
In my humble opinion most Agatha Christie books belong in a mystery genre. She’s the queen of mystery.
I read both the Silent Patient (one of my fav. books now) and Then She Was Gone this year and they were both excellent

I know it's been months, but I just found this. Several of the books are currently on Kindle Unlimited.
My favorite thriller of all time is Where Eagles Dare, but that's a military thriller, and your list is focused on domestic, psychological, and dark academia thrillers, which I also love, so I'll respond there.
