The gross weight of that ship is around 6 lb, 1 lb heavier than my moc warship. Although mine's too full of internals to have it waterproofed. But at least you've got a surplus of parts, I used almost all of mine to build my biggest personal creation 👍
I wasn't supposed to test it in that lake. The rocks are impossible to traverse. It's meant for beautiful, sandy beaches where the terrain is silky smooth... 😋 But the winds are pretty strong at the beach these days in Greece, so I'll have to postpone the sea trials.

I am ditching Bluetooth controllers for proper RC for much greater precision, power and range. The boat I've currently completed will have a proper mission away from the coast! Expect the epic stuff you talk about in the next videos!
liked seeing the hanging tires on the side of it. I would probably use chain on steering instead of rubber bands. I do really love making and watching functional lego builds (:
A chain would look super cool, but the rubber band allows for some slippage once the rudder reaches it's extreme left/right position and protects the gears from wear and tear.
I've got linear actuators but in order to use them for the ramp, I'd have to either make the boat wider or the entrance narrower. So... good old fashioned string...
That's sick! A huge truck to carry the landing craft that carries the crawler! I'll need big tires though... (And then a huge ship that carries the truck, that carries the landing craft, that carries the crawler... )
@@brickandgear the trailer can have smaller wheels along the length with those yellow suspension pieces, it would need it, as for the truck, I can't send pictures but I have bigger wheels from a Jeep I made, plus I'm sure you could get some custom made, I'm sure someone somewhere will do it
You should keep evolving your design and something good will come out. My first LEGO boat was just three plastic bottles and a few Technic pieces. I see you asked a question about the 42008 service truck. It weighs 2.1kg so I think you'd be able to load it on the boat and keep it afloat.
@@brickandgear, maybe TLG will come back to its senses and start buying designs from ppl like you or hiring. They have cool things, but damn, do they neglect their fans!
